And sometimes you can spot a "Come to Chile" too...best crowds in the world...Tom Morello approved ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0FupB3wetdM.html
For some reason this genre makes me feel like I’m a kid again. It brings me back to early 2000. Thinking of sum 41 kind of.... idk still can’t put my finger on it
I miss just kind of like the dingy plain aesthetic kind of grungy underbelly that the 90s kind of had. I also miss trash cans being in public places and the ability to get a soda wherever
Definitely check out the stepsister duo of Skating Polly! They were mentored by Exene of the 80s LA Punk band X at the tender ages of 10 and 15. Louis and Kim of Varuca Salt later wanted to do an EP with the the girls. That's when their brother took over on drums. They style is so unique they invented a new genre #uglypop
The lead singer looks good rocking that Gibson JR. This song is catchy and will stick in your head if you like it or not. It came up as a random song on a punk playlist and I liked it
Every once in a blue moon a song or band comes along and I shake my head and shout "Thank You"!!! This song is one of those songs. The time changes......., as a fellow guitarist, this is a fun song to play along with. great job guys. I'll be looking into your library for more like this. Thank you.
God I love Jen and Poli, they're gorgeous and 2 kick a$$ guitar players and vocalists. Goddesses. I MISS Poli so I hope her health is doing good and will make a return to bombpops! much love Fat Wreck for life!
Yea Poli Van Dam, aka the blonde one 😂, left the band late in 2021 citing health issues and family issues, and her female guitar tech stepped up to fill her spot, Poli is now touring solo with a new backing band as a guest on the Teenage Bottle Rocket US tour.@@PoisonBoxx
When I was in my 20's, I was in a punk rock band called Last Annual. We played a show in some small town in Iowa called Spencer. We played on a mini ramp, that was inside of an apartment building. It took up the entire room, and it was fucking awesome.
Yeah, we need more middle-class 20-somethings playing at whatever the fuck this shit is. Pop has officially fucked punk rock so hard up the ass it's got a concussion. Maybe one day it'll remember who it is and stomp the shit out of everyone who doesn't belong.
I never walk, I always run And I won't look, but I'll stare right at the sun Trying not to jump the gun Cause like mirrors and smoke this is all a joke It feels dryer than California In July on the mouth when I kissed ya On the couch and I made you listen To all the songs that I wished I'd written And I went out on a limb Fell for you and almost broke my wrist And it happened cause of this Well I just laugh till I choke, be the butt of a joke It feels dryer than California In July on the mouth when I kissed ya On the couch and I made you listen To all the songs that I wish I'd written You could mean anything to me I could mean anything to you But booze and drugs are way off I think I still like you The sun comes up over California I'm in too deep and I want to kiss ya On the lips while I make you listen To all the shit that I wish I'd written We caught fire like California In July on the night when I kissed ya On my couch and I made you listen To all the songs that I wished I'd written
seems good to me, except maybe the third verse...."but booze and drugs are way off" sounds more like "but booze and drugs are wearing off"...makes more sense too
Wow! Im really impressed with how much you´ve grown musically since "Outta Hand". This is truly a hit single in my book. Wish you guys the best and kudos for keeping punk rock alive! Love the new album. "Watch Me fold" and "Forever Since" are killer tracks
Definitely has a "skate/bubblegum" punk type of feel, and its awesome. Its such an infectious song. I mean yeah, I am sure we have all heard better- but their energy just shows in their performance. Its fun! I just can't hate on it- its addicting! love this band :)
@@SavitTheGoalie They're still rocking! Facebook group is active and interacted with by the band. Quiet with the pandemic, but they're coming back with a vengeance.
@@OneLoneMan You know it! Everyone always pushing their politics and beliefs, DIY selfies and memes, gatekeeping and judging others' interests. May as well be leaning on the barrier between sets at a small show!
This makes me think of the time I saw a "I'd rather be at a NOFX concert" license pate frame on a fucking E-class Mercedes in San Diego. That person probably likes this band too.
Yikes. That means you're about a decade older than me. I was around 14 when Zappa and Moon Unit did "Valley Girl" you were mid twenties. (Ick. Eew. Vals are grody) Coincidentally, also marking the end of Franks career for some reason...In any case, what you're doing is just creeping me out granddad.
@@RU-vidr69428 Just a little lighthearted fucktardery If you ever heard the song in question you wouldn't call it punk. Or rock. Can I go eat my breakfast now, O' comment justice warrior? Or am I gonna get music lessons with a bikelock by some Antifa poo-stabber? Keep Lucasing as fast as you can my dude.
What's up with the guitar strings? Are they using .002 gauge or something? I've never seen strings move so much when someone is playing. Anyway, I really enjoyed this song. And I'm going to have to check out this band.
They all sound like the girl from the fuckin' Dance Hall Crashers 😇. I was in love with Danica as a teenager & she's still beautiful. When Mike left his wife, he should have gotten with her, how could a girl be any cooler?
This is actually a great question! When you forget to bring a lens filter and you're shooting outside, you have to take photos with a really fast shutter speed. That means you get crystal clear images of fast moving objects. Stuff that moves like crazy but we don't usually see (guitar strings, cymbal crashes), look super chaotic instead of having the normal blur our vision is used to giving it. Also look at Josh's drumsticks, and you can see that they seem to flop around in his hands like rubber because he's moving faster than the rate the camera can process the image frame. -Chris (the director)
The 131ers I initially thought to save trouble etc they would not play live on the video. And just use the first instruments they pick up. Which would of explained the loose /un tuned strings etc
It's weird because when I'm sitting and play the guitar and eyes are quite close to the neck if move my eyes from left to right (or right to left haha) very fast I can see this effect. Does it mean that I have "a really fast shutter speed" in my eyes? :D
Sort of! Our brains do process images in something akin to a camera's "shutter speed," but our brains also blur really fast moving information to help us make sense of things. When you shake your head like that, you kind of mess with your brain's ability to do that. See also: old DLP TVs with color wheels
Idk if you kno but that red gibson is a pretty rare Joan Jett single cut mm signature. Very cool guitar! ( i also have one i grabbed for my daughter) They are a punk rock weopon
@TuongLu I could see that skate punk argument. It's definitely very melodic though, especially those notes that vocalist is hitting. I define pop punk based on how melodic it sounds
Screamingtilltheend I never heard of them until I saw them open up for anti-flag and NOFX back in 2011. The blonde was much skinnier then. They were okay. Then the 2 girls came out and sang the girl part on Lori Myers when NOFX was playing.
This question is for Poli - I saw you in an advert for Abbott FreeStyle Libre on Facebook. How do you get your sensor to not fall off? Mine usually falls off before the 14-day period. Now that the ad drew my attention to the Bombpops - you all rock!!
I like the Bombpops. They are like a real life Sex Bombombs and they're here to make you feel sad and think about death and stuff but there is no way to have a bad time listening to this.
