She gave away the reason her kid doesnt wanna see her if you pay attention. First thing she said to that chick with ALS husband was theres a point in your grief where you feel relieved theyre gone. Not only did she stand by and watch her husband drink himself to death, more concerned with her "why wont he stop for ME" bullshit, but was glad hes gone.
