Eastwood says "go ahead" instead of "action" because of his time on westerns. While he was on Rawhide the directors would whisper "go" because saying "action" would spook the horses.
@@jessyellow5825 you have to yell action so the entire set will stfu. That plus snapping that clapperboard startles the horse. You can't start every scene calming the horses before getting into dialogue. It just looks so obvious.
