Everyone knows that feeling when you take a bite of food that's way too hot so you put your hands together over your mouth trying not to spit the food out as you blow air out? I did this once in a Chinese restaurant with both hands right as the lady was asking if everything was ok. So in my effort to convey the message to her, I nodded my head. But because my hands were up against my face, it looked like I was bowing to her. She didn't speak English well enough for me to explain what just happened in any way. I still think about that moment when I eat Chinese food.
