A moment of silence for Ace not having all the Tarzan. What a pain. Those covers are very nice.

I’m going to have to look into it further one day… the randomness of it is so odd. Needless to say, I was very annoyed when I found out. Those Frank Frazetta covers are indeed very nice…. a bit frustrating there is not a full set. 😫

Dave I hope you do Brian Belltube’s Nightclub booktube tag: The 12 Prompts: 1 - "Cocktail Hour" - Name a book you that you think pairs perfectly with your favorite drink. 2 - "Neon Lights" - Name a book with a cover that immediately grabbed your attention like bright lights in a club." 3 - "The Bouncer" - What book did you have to put down because it just wasn't letting you in?" 4 - "DJ's Choice" - What book would you recommend as the perfect read for someone new to the fantasy genre? 5 - "Disco Ball" - Name a book that made you feel like you were part of a vibrant, glittering world." 6 - "Dance Floor Diva" - What book had you dancing with excitement from the first page to the last? 7 - "Guest List" - Which author would you invite to an exclusive book-themed party and why?" 8 - "VIP Entrance" - Which book did you feel privileged to read before it became more widely popular?" 9 - "Dance Battle" - Which two characters from different books would you love to see face off in a dance battle?" 10 - "Midnight Read" - What's a book you couldn't put down and ended up reading all night? 11 - "After-Party" - What book left you with a hangover, unable to start a new read immediately after finishing it? 12 - "Late Night Conversations" - Which book left you thinking deeply or wanting to discuss it with others late into the night?

My wife and I enjoyed most of Horrorstor, but not the ending. I'll have to pick up the Poison Belt. Great reviews Dave, love that you have the dog treats so readily available.

I agree with your take on Horrorstor. I'm waiting for Hendrix to release another book on par with Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires. Olive is looking exceptionally cute today! She just stares at you so adoringly. ❤🐶

Great video Dave and Olive. Love the look of those graphic novels - something that I’d never read until I started on BookTube. I really must read some Tarzan and that Conan Doyle novel too. Loved all your selections so far this month 😊 🐶

I read _The Poison Belt_ last year. It was the only Professor Challenger story I have read, and I thought it was interesting. A similar premise is used by H.G. Wells in his novel _In the Days of the Comet_ (1906), but in that book, Earth’s atmosphere gets infused with a new chemical, causing every person on Earth to become completely _sane._

I actually have an old copy of that book, but haven’t read it yet… didn’t even remember what it was about, actually. Sounds intriguing… maybe I’ll have to read it soon.

Smartass character discouraged about not having gone further in life? 😬 Hmm. Think I'll just focus on Mr. Shirt Skeleton and wonder how the hell those glasses remain in place without ear or nose cartilage. 🤔😁 Olive looks well. I had to take Rosalee to the vet to have an infected ear cleaned out and medicated. She's since been endlessly pampered and told how proud I am of her for being such a brave girl. The scary thing is that I mean it. 😜🐕 Looks like a great reading month so far. I'm still working on D-Day. I'm currently amazed that it all turned out so well given that so little went "right" -- best laid plans, the enemy gets a vote, factor in some horrifying randomness, and all that jazz. Have a good one!

🐕🐕I read Grady Hendrix' "My Best Friend's Exorcism." Then the movie came out, and it seems I was supposed to have taken the story as a horror-comedy, which I didn't. That would explain the ridiculous climax, anyway. But what to make of the weepy-sentimental Epilogue chapter? I guess I would read another Hendrix, but I'm in no hurry.
