Hello again a lot of people take boots for granted starting out but there is a lot to learn about fit and performance. We hope you'll find this helpful in your journey into Shredding?
It has taken Ted & I many years of trial & error to get to this point but well worth it. Lastly remember the fit is where it starts because if you have problems with the feet nothing else matters!

This was helpful. I bought my 1st boots 10yrs ago. Guy in shop wasn’t experienced so I just went with my shoe size & it felt comfortable to walk in so I got them. Realised later they were too big, but money is an issue so I didn’t upgrade until couple years ago. Upgraded to 32 Lashed double BOA. The guy in shop seemed very experienced. He recommended 1 & a half size smaller than my shoe size. They felt really small but he said it will sort itself out over time. Unfortunately they were too small & I got the “black toe” you mentioned. But I’d used them for 2 trips & couldn’t return them so now I’m back in the market. Whilst 32’s were too tight I felt the benefit of high end features like heel hold & power straps. I will definitely be looking for a high end boot - maybe another 32 but this time I’ll make sure I’m happy with fit before buying. I guess I’ll sell my small 32’s on eBay or something

Very helpful video, guys. Felt like I was in a local ski shop in the mountains having an informative chat with friendly, knowledgeable owners. Came here because I’m looking for new boots after the sole of mine detached after having them for about 20 years. 😂Wondering the difference btwn BOA and lace because I’ve always had lace and liked it. I like that you get to the lace up and tighten above the foot (top part? (Instep?) whatever you call it. And I also have narrow feet. I also heard BOA might break randomly. Leaning toward getting lace. Thx for helpful tips on binding and lean on the boot as well. Great video.

Blanca great questions and of course the correct answer is the one's that fit your foot the best! Now BOA vice Lace up's: laces are. easier and less expensive to replace but BOA's have changed the materials used in the tightening and can easily be rethreaded in most shops. Other concerns on boots should does the flex rating somewhat match your boards flex; do you want a play full park kind of ride; or do you want a all mountain stiffer ride having stiffer boot and binding set up will give you more response, but you'll have to be on your game more on the higher end. Both Ted & I have a lot of riding time and we think a good understanding of people's need's! Stay with us we love the question's and comments!

Nice hat Ted, got an adidas adv boost, suppose to be a stiff boot, but after 4 month, they're flexed in all the places that shouldn't, but the boost foam absorbs everything I'd ever run into, hadn't try them after the lockdown/weight drop, works fine for a small indoor slope and a nearby lil hill, rock on Jim&Ted xD

Yeah as Ted said in the video he hurt his hands and can't pull the laces tight enough anymore. We both rode lace up Nike before switching over to BOAs just quicker. Thank for always coming back to chat! Number 1 supporter!!
