I'm a Bodo and I stay in Shillong but here most of the locals don't know about Bodo tribe(Nagas and Mizos know about Bodo). They think I'm Assamese😂 but when I say I'm not Assamese but I'm Bodo they get confused. They think Bodo and Assamese is same. Sad that here so many people still haven't heard Bodo word. By the way this documentary is really great and I love it very much❤. Thank you for such great content. Hope this help to spread awareness about our beautiful culture. #JwiBoroHarini..

I studied in English medium school, the time i passout from school i realised and wished that only if i would have studied in BORO medium school. So to have more and more knowledge about my own tradition. My family still pratice the BORO culture but the process is slowly fading. And the reason is that there are less and less information available and hope next upcoming documentry chapter has the things that I don't know and to get things learnt.

I saw at 15:48 a glimps of the area where i live and the surroundings that used to come under NH37 but it has changed to NH17 well construction has been going on to make 4lane roads. What i see is the video is taken from at least 3 years back. Those trees were the charms.

This is a beautiful analysis of Bodo culture, I was searching for a video like this for quiet some time now. Positive review: A well-written first chapter that talks about the people and culture. It explains the difference between 'Boro' and 'Bodo' and goes on to tell us about 'Sijou' as the 'Supreme Soul.' What's really important in this chapter is that it introduces us to real Boro historical figures like Basiram, Thengphakhri, and Sikhwna. These people are connected to the history of Dooar and Bhutan. It's important to remember that the true Boro history goes from Jhapa in Nepal and Jalpaiguri in West Bengal all the way to Udalguri and Sonitpur. Boros have nothing to do with the made-up history of Dimapur. Our history is all about Dooar. Negative points: Terms like 'Mongoloid' or 'Mongolian' have different historical origins and don't accurately describe the indigenous people of Northeast India and the Himalayas. 'Mongoloid' emerged during the 19th-century colonial era of scientific racism, aiming to categorize diverse populations into artificial racial groups. Today, it's used to refer to individuals with Down Syndrome. On the other hand, 'Mongolian' pertains to the nationality, denoting the citizens of Mongolia or those who speak the national language. These terms are unrelated to the Boro community and should be avoided when discussing Boros. A more accurate way to describe Boros is as an indigenous community residing in the region that extends from the Nepal Terai to the Brahmaputra Valley.

@yourheem9 Exactly. When Bodo Sahitya Sabha was organised, the presidents were Dimasa and they had the vision to unite Dimasa and Boro. That's why Dimasa folk legends were translated into Boro. But people somehow exploited it to build a fake historical narrative and in the process Boros were deprived of their original Dooar history. Biggest blunder of Bodo leaders.

@yourheem9 It's such a big tragedy for Boros that we have lost in touch with our own historical land -Dooars. Boros must realise that our history is Dooar history and in order to research on this, we must look into Bhutanese records, Sikkimese and Limbu sources of Eastern Nepal. We need to look deeper in Anglo-Bhutanese war documents. Sikhwnajhar is the original baikhwnda nerswn of Bodos. We must revive a serious investigation to rebuild the history of Sikhwnajhar before OBC Kshattriya converts start claiming it as theirs.
