@@BabySniff please don't say that, if you need battle pass I will be done with it, Yo Elder scrolls blades on switch is amazing, I'm surprised they haven't brought them to Xbox or PlayStation yet
Honestly, the orsimer ARE the most well adjusted of all the elves. The elves in TES are almost all evil bastards. The Alieyids were slavers, the Snow Elves were murderers and havent changed much beyond that in their Falmer form, the High Elves are trying to destroy the world, the Bosmer are cannibals, the Dunmer worship demons, the Dwemer were mad scientists... the Orcs are just clannish honorable warriors.
The subversion of them as the "model mer" in ES is pretty unique, but kinda makes sense honestly. A far conquering empire has many uses for skilled warriors and craftsmen.
@@goldenfiberwheat238cringe is too strong word for me. It all depends on the person, some prefer full on joke mode while learning, some prefer academic style professionalism (im not saying you are that type, just wrote two opposite extreme). They have to balance it somewhere and i personały dont think this is bad. If i would like professional take I can read wikipedia, they have to make it entertaining. They wont make everyone happy and will probably do it this way
So, they are basically cannibal eldritch abominations, that hide under an Elvish skin. And from what I understand, these are supossed to be the nice Mers?
They are cannibals out of need and eldritch abominations only when threatened, do you want to compare that to the other mer and man who often commit genocides in the name of racial supremacy?
Logically, the fruits should be an exception from the prohibition on eating plants. As plants produce fruits specifically to be eaten by animals, so their seeds could be better spread (usually with some bonus fertilizer).
@@sisterlaylahashe ahhhhhhhh damn that makes sense! I was thinking it was a RU-vid bug, but members having early access is much more reasonable. Thank you for the explanation!
Love the Elder Scrolls lore! The fact that it is mostly told via in-universe books with its own biases and unreliable narrators makes it feel so deep and lived-in. Loving theses videos! Also that was the coolest Marukh art I've ever seen!
Great video, but you neglected to mention how the in-universe Monomyth mentions how the Bosmer "soiled Time's line by taking Mannish wives", which would make the Bosmer Man-Mer hybrids that are more on the Mer side, as opposed to the Bretons, who are more on the Man side.
You guys should do the Moamer at some point. The sea elves that have had an almost eternal cold war with the Aldmeri Dominion. They claim to be the true descendants of the Altmer and have had an immortal king rule them since merethic era
Elder Scrolls lore is my favorite. It is very D&D, and therefore it is very Tolkien, but the way they have tweaked everything makes for a really cool world that feels “lived in” Kind of hope we get to explore Akavir someday, but at the same time I wonder if the mystery is what makes it great.
I hope that the next Elder Scrolls lore vids will be on the Argonians or perhaps the others like the Dragons, Daedra, Giants, Orcs, and the other races of this world.
i think he's doing the playable races first, but he may cover the others too. unplayable races aren't all too know or have many records so they'll probably all fit in one video
Hi W&W (and all the affiliates) team! Merry Christmas and all the best in the New Year!! Just a note, i do receive a notification on my phone, but I don't get a notification on my web browser for W&W videos (for K&G and the Cold War videos, no problem)
It's my understanding that only the most Orthodox bosmer actually practice cannibalism and that most simply ignore this part of the pact. Meanwhile I feel like Bethesda forgot that silk and wool are animal products when coming up with the materials generally used by the bosmer.
(the term ‘Wood Elf’ has a generally serene, whimsical association, conjuring images of peace-loving silvan folk and child-like pixies. )- Warhammer Asrai would like to have a word with you. 😂
Dear Wizards & Warriors Crew. Firstly, I'd like to apologize for slacking on viewing over the Holliday but I had an apiphony. 😅 I realize you probably already have alot of requests in the pipeline BUT...Please consider taking on "Avatar:The Last Airbender" seems like potentially a mutually beneficial series to cover.
It would add animation as another source used by W&W, along with books, movies, video games and alternate history. I kind of hope this could lead to the fantasy and Sci-Fi worlds of anime and manga being covered.
They will eat your flesh, bones and blood if you mess with them, if you harm their homeland or threaten their folk. Otherwise they will buy from you and sell their own goods like any merchant would. Cannibalism and the wild hunt are no more than a warning to outsiders that an ant knows the leaf it cuts.
What i wanna see in Elder Scrolls 6 are details like: if you play as a Bosmer, you can only eat meat. That's the detail i pray for but know we wont get
Not gonna work especially because wood elves living outside Valenwood are likely to abandon the Green Pact. Those who may follow the pact in other provinces are zealots and we never noticed at least one in the lore as they are mentioned only in the deep forests of Valenwood. Considering the fact that ES6 is likely to occur in Hammerfell or High Rock, we are probably going to find Apostates(oathbreakers). Considering gameplay mechanics, it’s even worse for a follower of the Green Pact because it has to ignore alchemy almost entirely and only use animal resources, which are very limited to mix potions and poisons. And before anyone here says it’s “only the vegetation of Valenwood”, the Pact is clear when it states that Y’ffre gave them animals for all their needs, don’t harm the green. The green itself represents all the forests of Tamriel and beyond.
Like gamey meat, how about Khajit? Home alone again? Try some Argonian. Hungry and bored, have a Nord. Appetite borked, try some Orc. Cook meat until it is well-Dunmer.
They are most likely to be goblin-kin. Like Ogres, for example. When Boethiah turned Trinimac into Malacath, he became a Daedric beast, only simple traits resembling the former elven origin and so did his followers.

@@ShortReviewerRetroGames In earlier games they were classed as goblin-Ken meaning they were related. Come Morrowind much of the games lore was rectoned including alot of Orc lore elevating them from a unplayable beast race to cursed Elves via a new origin mythos. It should be noted that not all of the connections were fully rectoned for example there are a few tid bits of lore that contradict the new more prominent Orcish origin lore (Topals encounters, Osh Ornim etc) so based on that you could argue that there is enough room in the Lore to still consider them Goblin-Ken if you disregard the Velothi exodus origin myth as religious propaganda or whatever.
