Morgoth: Cannot create but only seduce and twist, conjurs up a darkness he must protect you from, divide the people against each other and then overwhelm them with swarms of violent NPCs? Sounds like Morgoth was the first progressive.
Honestly, I find it rather unrealistic that the Frederick would be fine with the Mongols conquering Europe and annexing the Holy Roman Empire just to spite the Pope. Moreover the destruction of Rome would have had DEEP consequences on how accepted the Mongols were by the Christian population of Europe. I'd imagine that most vassals of Frederick would have immediately turned on him for being an accomplice in such an act.
Ah, yes, let’s abandon the only bastion that can hold chaos hordes in the darkest times imaginable because the person in charge of the bastion Balthazar Gelt is using everything he can including necromancy to make sure world as we know it stands a chance, amazing writing
Man some of the stupid decisions made by the characters really truly solidifies the core reason as to why The End Times was bad... All the characters that die? Who cares! The fucking way in which GW had to force it down our throat with how stupid everyone suddenly got is truly baffling. Kislev has stood for THOUSAND OF YEARS on their bravery and powerful soldiers... Has no defences at Erengrad, Boris gets ambushed... Trolls invade and take over Praag... Some random nobody chaos dude goes in and takes Kislev city... All in what... A week? A month? Meanwhile "KATARIN THE GREATEST ICE WITCH OF ALLLL TIME!"
Gothmog slew and was slain by Ecthelion of the Fountain, not Glorfindel. Glorfindel slew and was slain by a lesser Balrog during the flight from Gondolin.
My theory is since BoS wants to bring back civilization (maybe as a new USA), It would be plausible for them to move their chain of command to Washington, especially since that was once the capital of North America. Remembering that in Fallout 4, Arthur Maxson stated that BoS wiped out Capital Wasteland's Mutants, and probably the Ghouls too.
I'm not sure that you actually read the books. Cause five minutes in, and I'm already noticing mistakes. Mierin Eronaile was NOT lews there's mistress. She was his lover, but he left her for Elanya Sunhair. The books state this straight out. You shouldn't get your info from reddit and Wikipedia
Very happy you correctly depicted how the battle of Elendil + GG v Sauron went! And didn’t just go with the stupid interpretation where Elendil an GG die and Isildur somehow cuts the ring off Saurons hands causing him to die.
It’s a fun endeavor but you can draw many ties from this games lore to parallels in our own human story. From ancient unexplainable architecture to a seemingly less advanced human population inhabiting these wonders to our Mythos and legends. Almost as if someone who crafted this story was adding a subliminal message.
Honestly? This is perfect main quest stuff. Have a descendant, or Uriel himself with whatever magic exists over there, come back and claim the title once again, with his Akaviri army and the legitimacy of the Septim dynasty. Maybe even just in time for the second great war...
Not completely sure about references, but in my head I belive the difference between orcs, goblins, and uruks are goblins - mockery of dwarves, orcs - mockery of man, uruks - mockery of elves. P.S. I am aware of the interchangability of orcs and goblins; goblins being used in the hobbit while orcs on the LoTR books.
Ecthelion went down like a true chad, taking down dragons and balrogs, finishing gothmog before falling himself. One of the most underrated characters in the tolkien legendarium
