The Boston steel train 1998 

I actually live in Boston & go over this crossing numerous times in a week, commuting to work or going to other parts of the town. It’s now called Spalding rd & it certainly looks different now as all the open land around the crossing has trees lining the road & what was all warehouses to the right is now a huge housing development, you certainly wouldn’t be able to get shots of the train curving around the track now. Swineshead Br and Hubberts Br haven’t changed at all. The ‘steel’ as locals call the train still run & it usually stops all the traffic across 2 crossings, West St & Broadfield Lane as it reverses into the sidings, which can take 10 - 15 mins, normally about 3 in the afternoon when most of the town are doing the ‘school run’😉
