He was a pioneer of bottle walls. I like it when they are cut and taped end to end so there's a smoother finish. That's a lot of work to go to for a church, but great job to that dude.
Love your two-story bird house, with tall peaked roofs, finials and more! I wouldn't mind moving in myself! What a beautiful little paradise we see here
What a lovely video, with such beautiful constructions! And a Bottle Chapel with Bottle Pews: "who'd a thunk it?" It's PERFECT! Thank you so much for finding me and sending me this link.
I'm glad I videoed it, and... Oh, I just "Got it", I think.. You like my videoing style, wow. After ten years shooting, a little editing, and posting music videos, it's rare to receive such a compliment that actually goes to the guy who shot it. Thank you. GOD BLESS, AND THERE'S NO DOUBT ABOUT IT, AMEN.
@@c7i6abc : I am still on facebook; catherine todd, and in Guatemala for a long time now. Still hoping to build a bottle house! Thanks for finding me and reminding me! Glad we have communicated by email, too!
This is so beautiful! It will the rest of my life (I am 74) but I will build at least a bottle wall. Can you please tell me if you put a tap on the bottles so the inside don't get dust and spiders and ants, etc?
1. I didn't build the bottle houses. Google Bottle Houses PEI to learn more about the man who did. 2. I would recommend capping the bottles in some way to keep out dust and bugs etc. 3. See below "Ben", he built a wall, ask him what he did and for any suggestions. 4. Good luck. 1. 4. Buena suerte.
Thanks for viewing my video and for your comment mentioning trypophobia. I had never hear of it before now. I learned a little about through a Google search. I posted the video in 2013, so it is interesting that peope are still viewing it. My name is Eric A. Jollymore, I live in Nova Scotia Canada. This is one of my RU-vid Channels, c7i6abc because it was a mistake I made at the time, my first time creating a youtube channel. I spoke with someone who said he's going to build a bottle wall as the result of seeing this video. He lives in the USA. Catherine S. Todd (see in the comments below) showed interest. Where in the world do you live? And what does abcw2 mean?
Zach, I didn't. I just videoed what you see in the video. Go back and watch the video, at about 4:15 it starts to answer your question and goes to about 5:30.
Hello Ben, that is a tourist attraction on Prince Edward Island that a man built many decades ago. It appeared to be regular mortar to me. Considering the age, there might not have been anything special he could have gotten. It's located at Address: 6891, Route 11 Boîte 53, Wellington, PE C0B 2E0 Phone:(902) 854-2987. If you Google Bottle House PEI, you'll see more pictures of it. It looks quite attractive; but actually being there is another thing, it's a bit dingy and considering being a tourist attraction, could have been cleaned up a lot, the camera doesn't pick that up well at all. -- Eric Nova Scotia Canada (Where are you?) Hope this helped, you can phone them to find out, but I'm not sure that they can tell you though.
I am in the US. Mississippi.. We are doing some windows at a property I own. 8 foot tall, 32 foot long.... It was 4 pieces of glass, all broken out over time, we are going to do a bottle wall now. I have began a small version on a smaller window, and have used regular mortar, and it is working wonderful!. Thanks for your help!!
Ben Good for you, please show me a picture/video when you have finished it. I am in Hubbards, Nova Scotia, Canada. Actually just a bit outside it but basically the same place. Have a look via Google maps, I prefer vpike.com street view, Where in Mississippi are you? (approximately) - Eric
+Ben xxxxxxxxxx@Hotmail.com Sorry Ben, I removed my email address after having it here for two days, please write again and I'll put it up here again, but you will need to check it sooner than 2 days. I get my messages as soon as they are posted by you and everyone else and will respond immediately or within hours.
Susan, what makes you say "Those are embalming fluid bottles"? At10:02, I see a Govern General Rum Bottle. Come to think of it, maybe they're the same thing. lol -- c7i6abc aka Eric Jollymore
