@@Klonoahedgehog Yeah I always referred to CvS2 as Street Fighter vs King of Fighters 2, cuz it seemed like less than 10% of the cast came from a game outside of those series.

It would have been nice, but in all honesty they could have done something else besides those two games. All Stars, if I recall correctly, had a pretty limited roster as well, but still would've probably shown more effort. It's a neat idea for Capcom to make their own King of Fighters/Battle Coliseum but a bigger question is why didn't they have a crack at it again during the time they didn't have access to the Marvel licence?

This IS a rushed product as there's a lack of quality and quantity in various areas and there's not much enjoyment in this game for a lot of players. It's a mess of a game that should've been an instant hit though why doesn't Capcom revisit and improve, fighting game wise, I don't know though that part is something I do agree with.

Exactly. Even if you were to only use two, why did they choose Kenji and not Tessa? She is by far the most popular of the four main characters lmao.

Felicia's sprite aged better. They were probably aware of how much people dunked on the Morrigan sprites in CvS2. As someone who messed with Darkstalkers sprites a lot when I was messing with OpenBOR, I can tell ya that Morrigan's sprite has a lot of color issues. It's why a lot of her alternate colors in VSav, MvC2, etc have rather muted/similar colors compared to Felicia's alts that are an absolute rainbow of colors. Personally, I think Felicia would have fit in great in CvS2 as well. Her, Talbain and Sasquatch all have short hop gimmicks that would have blended in very nicely with the KOF characters.

Never understood why Capcom didn't reused both Chun-Li and Yun's sprites from CVS2 instead of reusing the ones from SFIII, which look out of place alongside the rest of the cast.

Psychic force was one of my favorite anime-style classic fighting games. I ever played on psone back when I was at school back in the day and it was the first video game console I played since 2000 and 2001 that when I played psychic force. The game was cool and the best fight between burn and Keith was like goku and vegeta. The nostalgia of it, bring back the good old days especially when I first had the ps2 ( which I have right now.) When I first played guilty gear X2, sol and ky was the same motive when they fight. And that was really awesome.

I remember when this game came out, I so soooo hyped...then very dissapointed quick afta...so much potential

Was it that bad? I don't remember it as much as other Capcom PS2 hack n slashes (like Sengoku Basara 2 changed my view on Musou games, God I loved it) but I don't remember hating it.

It is. I think you also need to make Ingrid appear as a mid-boss and beat her too. Shin Akuma will appear after Pyron. Beat him with every character and he will be u locked.

2010 ain't really bad, just too hard as hell but not a crappy game.

@@nick-playercharacter8583 What are you even going on about? Street Fighter 4 came out just 4 years later. Soul Caliber 3 1 year, Virtua Fighter 5 2 years. If you're talking 2D fighting games were already long dead at this point; this was merely a last gasp. Cap Vs. SNK and SNK Vs. Cap both didn't sell well, Marvel VS was 4 years before this game. This game isn't good, but to declare it the cause of the "dark age" of an entire Genre is misguided at best.
