The Bottomline: Pia thanks her manager Esther Swan for empowering her 

I have to admit, I didn’t like her before but she managed to convinced me how awesome she was as Miss Universe. Throughout her reign, she was just so hardworking and really represented the organization with so much grace and class. Bravo Pia and I believe you’re one of the best Miss Universe.

I believe this is what separates pia apart from the others. She really had a tough life and she did everything she could to make the organization happy with her reign, despite the fact that she started her reign with so much controversy and bashing for something that was not even her fault ( the wrong winner announced scandal). She turned it into an opportunity to reach out even more. She was there to serve. When a person comes from hardship, she gets to appreciate every blessing and gets “desperate” in a positive way to always be the best in every opportunity. No wonder the people behind the organization are motivated to work for her too. I believe there is a good reason why it was reported before that by the time Pia left the organization, she left as a wealthy woman. Her year was considered as one of the most financially rewarding years of the miss universe org.

Pia, that cry.. it shows how real person she is,, very genuine,, i admire how she show her emotion, very authentic..

She is a beautiful soul. I am so happy that Catriona won. But i am so grateful for Pia for paving the way and being a shining example of what a Miss Universe truly is.

Rewatching this after the recent video of Pia opening up about her mental health struggles during her reign. Now I understand why she’s too emotional here. Thank you, Queen P for being vulnerable and for showing us that it is okay not to be okay.❤️

I think it's all about personality. Pia's personality seems approachable, positive, with sense of humor, made other people like Esther get so close to her easily.

When she heard the name of esther, she cried like a little girl. And I'm crying, too. 😭

What makes her my favorite Queen is the human-ness she brings to the crown she wore. Usually the quota is to be the personification of compusure, natural confidence, poise, and beauty when reigning as a Miss Universe; she does this, but remains very human and allows herself to be vulnerable in a way that reminds us that even a top queen is still human. That is something we usually only get when someone seemingly 'perfect' makes a mistake. We then think "theyre human after all." But with Pia it isnt in her mistakes that remind us that even the best are still human, its in her allowance of being herself, regardless of the crown she wears. Vulnerability is beautiful.

I think Pia was the only miss universe in the recent years whose contract was extended more than a year.

Women like Pia never forgets her roots. She's appreciative of everything she has and had. A true queen.

Esther Swan is the Miss Universe of all Miss Universe. She has an invisible crown that is worth more than the Miss Universe crowns they used. She was a momma to the Miss Universe. And I have no doubt that she gave that same love to Catriona when she was Miss Universe.

after watching pias ted talk where she went into details about what she had privately dealt with I'm really glad that the mu team really took care of her because I could imagine just like what pia said how it would have been entertaining for the media to watch her spiraling towards rock bottom.

After watching her Tedtalk,I now have more appreciation to this very heartfelt moment.Salamat at pinili nilang tulungan si Pia,at salamat miss Pia dahil nagpakatatag ka.

First time watching this after 5yrs and I cried. I can really feel the sincerity in Pia's emotions. She may not be the most eloquent queen of all, but her humility and genuineness makes her shine the brightest. My favorite Queen P ♥️

I think watching this now after Pia's revelation that she was diagnosed with anxiety disorder and depression during her reign as Miss Universe to the point where she abused alcohol made it more sense why she suddenly got emotional thanking Esther and the Miss U org. after my frustration with Gray, i have to return to this video of Pia to remind me once again what makes a true miss universe. Pia is the queen who really did her best to be whole despite all the pressures that came along her way, because as Pia shared, it's the fear of Esther to see a girl broken after her reign. Pia did not give up the purest and truest values of humanity; hence, she ended her reign with dignity, whole, and composed. Gray has broken apart in less than 3 months and worst, her brokenness also hurt and broke one most significant person in her life. keep inspiring people, Queen Pia!
