Thank you sir, this is a wonderfully concise explanation. There are many prodigies in the world of music; very few can explain themselves so well.

True! Many people learned a skill so long ago and so deeply their brains have forgotten how their hands actually do it 😂

The best explanation I've found. I still can't perform it yet but this is the best I've come across so far. Think I hope to run before I can walk.

Not slurring coming out of the triplet gives it more of a bounce.

Great demonstration thanks. Interested in the strings you use. Your violin seems very responsive and bright. I don't have to force sound out of mine but it always sounds a little too warm/smooth rather than dynamic.

Is the bowed triplet the same as a treble?
@nozecone
@nozecone 2 года назад
The 'slur' sign, with the '3', is just the conventional way of indicating a triplet - it actually has to do with timing, and nothing to do with 'slurring'. (And, yes, I did just want to get one up on Kevin Burke ... !)

@eldricgrubbidge6465

yeah. They had tommy people's for a while earlier on I think, but Kevin Burke was their fiddler for a long time. He also did some great albums with micheal o'domhnaill, their singer.
