I normally prefer subs because I want to hear the original voice actors, but this casting definitely shows they have put GREAT thought and care into it. I will eventually see both, but I might just see the dub first. Wow. I can't wait!
If i had a nickel for every “last” 5 star film Miyazaki makes before he “retires” I’d have like 25 cents, which you know isn’t a lot but it means we keep getting fantastic movies.
I feel that he saw latest Ghibli movies performance kinda bad, and how Earwig use CGI. He then goes "stupid kids, I have to return and show them how true Ghibli anime made" And he did
Wow, I notice really strong elements of some of Ghibli's most popular films in this one. Seems like it could be a conglomeration of all the things that make their movies so magical and memorable.
I’ve been watching Studio Ghibli movies my entire life, but this was the first time I got to see a new one in theaters. It was an incredible experience. The soundtrack, the characters, the message of the story. Hayao Miyazak never ceases to amaze me.
I’d say an actor or actress would kill you be cast in a Miyazaki film, every one of his films is a work of perfection and to be part of it would be something to be proud of forevermore.
Which barks an interesting question that I would ask to both Todd Haberkorn and Cherami Leigh: Have either of them wanted to voice dub a Ghibli movie? I'm sure that given their profession and the medium/genres that they've done over the years, it'd be a tremendous honor for them to dub a Ghibli movie.

I'll be watching with subtitles and Japanese dialogue. Rather have native Japanese doing the English dub than loads of famous people with American accents.

If the grey heron was saying the truth that all grey herons are liars, then he would be inherently contradicting himself in a paradox. If the grey heron said a lie when he was saying "all grey herons are liars," though, then that could potentially imply that just because he's a lying grey heron, doesn't mean other grey herons are liars as well. Basic logic.
