Young Zach has been healthy and quick-learning, until he becomes a year old, when his right eye appears turned in. He has a lazy eye and needs glasses, but his corrective lenses don't help. His walking and talking abilities begin to deteriorate, and he develops issues with his immune system, yet doctors fail to find out the cause, until one learns that he has unusually high levels of iron in his brain. It turns out that Zach has been suffering from an extremely rare condition called Infantile Neuroaxonal Dystrophy (INAD).
