Plot Armor, is Hughie not dying when Starlight AND HOMELANDER whose fast as hell is right next to him. Plot Armor when A-Train couldve killed Hughie a long time ago with all his shit. Plot Armor is when Black Noir couldve been snapped Butchers next instead of the choking pause to get a convenient call that spared his life. Superpowers is the only logical reason to fight such an overpowered threat. And they arent even as strong as them in the comics anyway and they can still move covertly and gather information. I would fear for M.M more in the comics because he got powers against another Supe but the fight would be more unpredictable. In the show? For him to die off so early? Lol please. Hes got no chance of winning, they are completely against the wall, so now incomes the deus ex machina so that he can die at a later date during the series finale or some shit.

UnifiedEntity I can’t say I agree with Butcher being saved by plot armor at the end of season one. Homelander not killing him and instead taking him to see Becka and the kid seem well within how homelander was written for the show. He’s a sadist who enjoys watching others suffer, no matter how you look at him. Everything else you said i legit skimmed over, it’s just this one part that stood out to me.

It makes actually the show interesting. Now knowing that the boys in the comic have supere power it just makes hate that comic due to lack of originality, which this show excells at. But for me the show advances way to slowly and kinda gets stale after episode five season 1 Nothing barely ever happens.

Its more like my hero academia but instead of a school for heroes, they just get born and immediately sign a contract with Vaught or they get snatched by a smaller company or deals which don’t amount to much. But then add a huge dark layer to it where all the heroes do drugs, have wild sex, will murder people etc because they don’t care. This leads to the vengeance that the humans want to get on the supers. As well as a lot of other fucked up plot lines. So ya more in line with teen anime turned up to 11+ then sky high.

His character is different and some of his qualities(being an immature clown and rapey for example) were literally moved over to The Deep just to give him some character. Homelander is much more developed here as well. Also they switched the deeps and A trains race which isn't really a big deal to me since they both basically swapped races. And one of the boys facilitator was already a girl in the comic. And they were obviously trying to go for a "parental" approach with stillwell and having it be a motherly kind makes it more twisted. I'm sure we'll get James in season 2 however or someone like him since vaught needs a new keeper of the 7. I just don't see the problem and how the "forced diversity" as you call it worsens the show?

Nah, homelander definitely did it on purpose. He shot the first terrorist with the beam too, but he controlled it so that it wouldn't harm the other passengers, while in the cockpit he increased the intensity to fry both the controls and that terrorist. It could be a sudden decision to do so, but it's definitely not an accident.

(Later it's revealed that the still alive Mother's Milk's mother has evolved/devolved into a giant nearly mindless monster with "tentacle boobs" instead of regular boobs.) Also Mother's Milk's brother was a low functioning simpleton due to the side effects of Compound V. Mother's Milk's father spent years trying to sue Vought. While he eventually succeeded he only received a small amount of money. Then one day Mother's Milk's brother's head suddenly expanded uncontrollably while he was wearing a football helmet. He died almost instantly. Mother's Milk's father died due to a stress induced seizure when he was trying to prepare a 2nd lawsuit against Vought for the death of his son. Homelander and Hughie are also better in the comics. Homelander is suddenly just a manipulative bitch in the show with no signs of a moral compass, while Hughie is just an arsehole. In the comics, Homelander was struggling with convincing himself he's a villain after the plane incident and allegations of atrocities people were convinced he did. Hughie also had a much bigger moral compass in the comics than his show counterpart.

Similar origin story, except he's not a great dude, like how Homelander is superman, but also not a great dude. Soldier Boy Participated in WWII, like captain America did. Jensen Ackles has been cast as him. In the comics, there were several people that took up the mantle over the years, but it looks like in the show, it'll be one guy that has lasted from WWII to present or something? Details are sketchy.

Actually diamonds are kinda fragile. Hardness is not the same as strengtness of a material. With high pressure explosion enclosed the his skin will shatter and explode into pieces. The pressure needs release and the orifices are way to small for that instant of pressure release. The scene is very accurate if superhero type of shit was real.

@Nigerian Prince Yeah the 'cunt' thing we (Brits) do use but not anywhere near as much or in the same context as he was using it. He was using it in the same way Aussies use it. He's a Kiwi so he did change his accent, but he just went Aussie and it was very annoying to hear it so blatently but still being called the 'British guy' by other characters. It really makes no difference what nationality he is in the show, as this video shows there's been changes made from the comics so they might as well just own him as an Aussie, Karl Urban does a great job playing this role and is a fantastic actor, but he can't do a British accent so just scrap the idea of him being British off. Put it this way, it's a bit like putting on a Canadian accent and being called Texan.
