Why do people always assume at the end that Becca lied about being raped? Having a child doesn't mean the rape didn't happen. There is no reason to doubt the rape. Hell, she left the room so fast she didn't put her shoes on.
Fair. It's best to reserve judgment. To be fair, we didn't hear Becca say she was assaulted. Butcher saw the video and drew his own conclusions. It's best to wait until we actually hear Becca's side. At this point, we've only heard from Billy and Homelander.
I never got this impression myself but I saw people say that the video of her leaving Homelanders office looks more like a walk of shame. she definitely doesn't look like you would expect someone to look after 3 hours alone with a rapist. Of course everyone reacts differently to traumatic events like rape, so what one expects doesn't really matter but I can see where they are coming from. Also. like other have said, she never claimed she was raped, Butcher assumed that.
I'm ... not sure how many other conclusions one could come to from Becca's reactions in the aftermath of her first encounter with Homelander. It's pretty clear (at least to me) that judging from her initial reactions, Becca was at "best" coerced into having sex with him, and at worst brutalized in areas we don't see and threatened. Part of me actually wants to know what idiots think she was lying about that.
The best part of this reaction is her bleeping herself saying things like "Asshole" and "Son of a Bitch" and apologizing for her language...while watching people EXPLODE or Cuss up a storm in the show haha. It's amazingly wholesome and somehow just makes this so much more fun to watch!

The Fly is random and unrelated. The shots they used just happened to have a fly in it. Rather than using editing to remove the fly, they just added SFX to make it MORE noticeable. Makes the world feel a bit more real.

she dosent HAVE to lol its not imprtant to understand season 4 no show would ever make a season halfway through the series that requires you to go watch another season of a different show to understand the plot. the only reason Gen V ties into season 4 is becuase some of the characters from GEN v are gonna be in it. also she would want to watch it after season 3 if anything since watching it before watching 3 would give spoilers to season 2 and 3 also shes already seen everything becuase this is just a full season re upload to get people hyped for season 4 she watched season 1 3 years ago 😂

Like others have said just in case you don't know you need to watch the season 1 of Gen V before the last season of The Boys. I believe it's Gen V Seaosn 1 after The Boys Season 3 ends but before Season 4. Then going forward they will go back and forth between The Boys and Gen V.
the effects on this show are so gritty and grounded that it can be really hard to watch at times. the animal stuff really gets me too especially because their cg animals are so cute and lifelike

To be fair a train was probably laughing about swallowing one of her molars because that's what people do whenever they go through a traumatic event and don't want to acknowledge that they've been through a traumatic event they make fun of it. The act of running through someone would be absolutely horrifying even with things that you learn later on such as his State of mind at the time. Basically he is willing to ignore whatever to pretend like he has risen above.

To me, Homelander is what Superman would be, if instead of the Kents, he was found by some methed-up moonshiners. However, to summarize: Homelander is like a 12 year-old child (mental maturity of one) in a super-strong adult body. He technically never had a childhood, so he is kind of emotionally and developmentally stunted. Maeve - is just a cynic. She sees what is going on and how things are, but can't really do anything because of Homelander. Deep - is just an asshole drunk on power and popularity. A-Train - is also an asshole drunk on power and popularity and his biggest fear is losing that. Hence the V-juicing. Noir - doesn't talk and you will learn more about him in Season 3. I won't spoil anything for you. And if you think it's crazy and gory now... Also, each season has a Inside the Boys or a recap episode with Aisha Tyler where they have few of the actors talk about some of the stuff on set, and the story. I highly recommend it as it is quite funny, and since it's only about the one season, no spoilers about anything upcoming.
The worst thing is that Homelander was a regular boy, didn't want to be a hero and all of that, he's the product of human cruelty and somehow now he deserves to die for what people made him become. It''s so sad that we can't judge him for what he'd have liked to be, but still, he needs to die since him being too dangerous.
he was not a regular boy he was born as an experiment. his mother was paid to carry him and he ripped out of her when he was born and killed the doctors and nurses in the room. then he was tortured and studied by scientists for years and had a really awful upbringing. he was made from a sope that he never met as a child. he was never a normal boy that didn't want to be a hero he was designed he was fabricated basically by the company to be the next soldier Boy. he was created to be a product and treated like one his whole life. he's also a horrible human being that has murdered countless innocent people and graped Becca.

Fun fact! It's implied (Pretty heavily, in my opinion) in the animated spinoff for The Boys that Madelyn groomed Homelander at least since he was 18, possibly since he was younger. I just think that puts an *interesting* spin on the interactions between them in season 1 I'm really loving your reactions to the show so far

What about all the people that find out their parents COULD have made them super but didn't. Would anyone really not want to be able to fly like Homelander or have super-strength or immortality? How about being in absolute peak physical condition without exercising no matter what you eat? I realize some of the "supes" will be mad that they didn't have a choice but having powers doesn't mean you have to be public about it. You may choose to work 9-5 and never use the powers but wouldn't it be nice to have the option?
