Robin’s death scene was gut wrenching and a great introduction to the tone of the entire show. The shock of her alive one second and turned to pulp the next was purely shocking.
@@michaelcorvin7043 with weapons we know of. Homelander can most likely be killed by his son when and if his son actually gets ahold of his powers. Also, poison might be able to work, as well as drugs that can kill you. We know he's invulnerable on the outside, but we don't know about his insides
@@Sborra69 lol you're about nameless Character number#42 death? those Characters have no story or background you crying or being sad shows that the boys isn't for you
@@gayladybugnotmlb1743 So the people are delusional then? Its pretty obvious to see how bad these guys are Doesn't matter what your culture or political stance is
@@dude9318 No in the first parts of the show the people didn’t know that the hero’s sucked but then they learned on how they were all bad, but if this guy was in the universe he wouldn’t know they were bad until later on in the show
Never watched this show, so at 1:37 when he says “don’t worry about it kiddo” and then the numbers of doom appear of above their heads right after made me giggle just a little.
I just realized that Naqib had the same basic power as Soldier Boy. Naqib obviously wasn't as strong or durable though as Noir was holding his severed head
Robin dying in episode 1 by being smashed to pieces when A-Train (flash) ran through her really cemented the point of this series. Every superhero movie/show we have ever seen has been so fake, "The boys" really shows what would happen if human psychology and God like powers did combine. This show is amazing.
And the other superhero media being "fake" is a bad thing how exactly? I don't know about you but I don't wanna see people getting turned to mush all the time.
Think this is why we loved soldier boy so much. We are so used to 2 seasons of constantly seeing the good guys at an atrocious disadvantage. All the super hero’s running around doing shit with no accountability. So it’s comforting as hell when soldier boy comes in and shows that their is a system of checks and balances even though he’s not squeaky clean himself
I still don't know why Hughie saved A-train. He blew up a guy who turns invisible to spy on girls but not a junkie that has no remorse dunning through people?
I think maybe Mallory's talk to him got him to change his attitude. He's also trying to prove to Starlight he's actually a good guy and not just a killer.
4:38 Homelander held back on the intensity of the laser to make the guy feel the pain and probably to protect the passengers. It never cuts through and is very accurate. 4:54 he purposefully cuts right through him and across the cockpit. Homelander knew what he was doing. He chose to go with the tragedy because he knew it would play better with the media.
Ghost Rider would be drawn to homelander like a moth to a flame. He's that evil. Penance Stare might not work on him bc the victim has to have regret for their actions but there are other ways to burn a soul.
7:50 - So they just killed an innocent guy surrendering but gave this guy the time to charge up his attack before pulling the trigger? Talk about plot convenience.
This show is basically what "heroes" could be in the real world. Lets hope that if something like it does happen, some heroes may not be psychopaths, but ones that care about saving people.
You shouldnt use the word “hero” Instead super power or short “supes” Hero is a title you need to earn by heroic act You dont get call a hero for having laser eye,fly ability,or super strength You get call hero by what you have done
I don't know look at marvel comics ( they try to god's and most of them hate there or hate being hero like spider man sometimes like being spider man but really hates being spider man not like Batman is Batman, but if had the he would rather be Peter parker
The worst scene that I cannot stop thinking about is when the Deep (an Aquaman-style hero) gets his gills fingered by a girl. That level of discomfort still fucks with my soul.
I feel like the series,”The Boys”, shows how superheroes will actually be like in this day and age, hungry for power, and money, they will have no remorse and take no responsibility for their actions. They wouldnt care about the domino effect of their actions such as the destruction of buildings and destruction of families.
Amazing show. Best actors, great story, absolute violence and no hope for everyone. The actors were so good that I can't imagine them not being villains in real life.
I'm just saying, the passenger plane was an easy save, I'm willing to bet Homelander could have easily helped guide the plane to at least a safe landing, if not a smooth one. By guide, I mean holding it from outside to essentially lower the plane to the ground.
If supes are real, this how it's gonna be... you don't have ground to support all that weight. Eventho you have super powers. Physics do apply you know
@@DartLuke nah fam. Injustice Superman is child's play compared to Superboy Prime. At least that Superman TRIED to mantain some level of order and global peace. SP just said "fuck it. Everyone is not real until I found my Earth" Then started to destroyed every single Earth he was in, killing billions of people just because a tantrum he had against the Anti-Monitor.
@@vampirethespiderbatgod9740 Yep, he's considered the most dangerous threat the Green Lanterns Corp has ever faced, even going as far as being a Yellow Lantern himself and getting himself a pseudo-similar Anti-Monitor armour from the SpeedForce that channels constant yellow sun radiation, thus rendering any previous weaknesses (that is, being too far from a Yellow Sun) meaningless. He also became the Master of Time, the only being capable of watching the End of Time and for a time he was an enemy of the Monarch, the Ultimate Villain. And all of this with the powers and abilities of Pre OG-Crisis Superman, so he was already basically God-like strong.
In terms of sanity level I would very much say that supes prime ain't got no place near the two Homelanders ,(Homelander & Black Noir # comics)their moral degradation is to the extreme, but don't take my word for it, read the Boys comic to get the proper insight and if u do not find that disturbing then,I don't know what else to say
5:05 Let’s remember that Homelander is not strong enough to stop or carry a plane. He isn't even strong enough to get in front of it and guide it along the water like a controlled crash.
he could have saved the plane, he just didn't want to. his whole plan was to let the plane crash in order to get supes into the military - which was mentioned later on.
@@ValkynShade No no. In that moment he was only considering flying the individual people as an option. Stopping or slowing the plane was not an option. Then on the beach he realized how it could be used to make the military inroads politically and capitalized with some improv.
@@pixelpasticheI’m pretty sure he did it because it would play with the media better homelander could have picked up the plane because that Denys physics he could have easily tried to fly the ship to safety at 4000 he dosent kill the guy so he stays alive and try’s to protect the passengers you can see his laser being close to each other which means there not at their full power then later kills the cockpit with ease he played it out intelligently he knew we’d it would take the play well with the media or he just wanted them to die because there’s no saving the. Because lifting a plane in the sky defys that physics and the military thing is partially true
@@knosat6643 Yeah so he’s not strong enough to stop the plane. If he was strong enough then he would be able to fly beneath it and then ascend gradually because the plane still is aerodynamic. It would go from falling to gliding and then he should be able to stop or carry it but he CANT. The rest are just excuses which fits his lying nature in the show. He just has to cover his inadequacies in a way that still has him look good.
Who would’ve thought Amazon would make not one, but two superhero shows with lots of gore, and have both of them be the best superhero shows ever made?
I love all of The Boys' seasons. But there's this particular dirty, grimy feeling the first season has that I think the other two kind of lose. It comes back in the third season (particularly when they go to Russia) but I still think the first season gets it just perfect.
@@jjqhrty3404 that girl is a superhero and that time she was on drugs (the kind that they use to enhance their power in return of giving them difficulties in controlling it) and seduced her landlord. Unfortunately one of her spikes popped from her bottom and killed the dude (her ability is getting spikes out from her body)
I never realized the foreshadowing of the first death, where it’s a typical superhero act / facade but in the blurry background we can see the gruesome / bloody reality of these powers and acts of violence.
Ok so for #167, A-Train does not die. 5 days after Herogasm, he wakes up in a Vought recovery room, and Ashley tells A-train that his heart was replaced by Blue Hawk's.
@@savageflix2402 Did you count 123 people on the plane ? Or did you use the information given later in the episode ? Lame excuse bro :p And don't tell me you were never given the information that the private jet had pilots x) . Only thing you don't know about that is if there were one pilot or two copilots.
@@BlubBlub199 I did not count them one by one since the information was provided how u said. The pilots of the privet jet were never been seen and since this is a "body count" i cannot put ppl in here who died propably or maybe.
@@savageflix2402 There is nothing in what you said that you can't also apply to the passengers you counted. Yes, the information is given that none of the 123 passengers survived, but some of them were never seen either. Plus, you don't need a PhD to understand that the private jet wasn't flying itself and that the pilot(s) had a zero probability of surviving the crash. But, hey it's your vid dude do what you like and how you like it. We bitchin' over it for nothin'...
It's not the look that makes you a super hero. It's what you do that makes you what you are, and in this case, Homelander is a certified monster in heroes clothing
This show just looks disgusting and disturbing honestly. Edit: after watching up to episode 6 I realized not only is this show disgusting, and disturbing, it's also brilliant
kingOL black Noir is no where near batman in the comics and it’ll probably be the same in the show since at the moment there’s no one able to kill homelander
Josh Peters A - they are not following the comic at all. And it would make sense to make Black Noir comedic relief Batman copy, as it would make a much better parody on the superhero genre. Black Noir in comics is kinda trashy too, except his Noir-plane moment. B - Homelander is unlikely to die in combat, the whole show points that he is indestructible. Besides, he will have family and is nowhere near as dumb as his comic-book counterpart.
@@kingol4801 I don't think you understand that Superman's real superpower is to overcome legit everything. But hey, far be it from me to argue that a carbon copy ripoff of a character 70 years later has more validity than the alpha he directly originated from.
I love hieugh and his actor, but imagine being in a swat team, the last words you hear are "im sorry" and the person saying those words looks like he would be to scared to kill a fly
this show just gives my a bad feeling in my gut, even though I'm super fine with violence and gore, the way people die in this show makes my stomach curl up.
Nah bro,i got nauseous when watching footage of real life gore( skinpeel, decapitation, etc) but when i watch this show,im completely fine, the gore looks to o digital and the the texture feels too fruity, just like gory stuff in resident evil animated movie.
Cavidan Karadağ He killed Translucent; because, it was a risky decision he made to protect Butcher and Frenchie, as the supes would know who they were and come for them (hence the “Keep Your Hands Clean” sign). He saved A-train; because, it didn’t matter at that point, as the supes already knew who they were (and he probably felt guilty over killing Translucent, and therefore wanted redemption).
He could've used the material of the emergency rafts to hold all the people in it and carry them all down. The point is... He could've have tried, even just a little bit. He didn't give a fuck. He already knew how he was gonna spin the story before he left the plane.
