I legitimately thought that they may have killed Huey off to show the Boys the consequences of being too reckless around the 7. & make Butcher realised he got his Cannary killed & Starlight having to deal with the loss (made even more emotional when finding his voicemail)

When I went to watch season 2 this saturday I was shocked by the 2.5 star rating. To find out it was mostly based on the release schedule of season 2 was insulting. I was disappointed I couldnt watch more but it was also 2 am and I needed to go to sleep. The more I thought about it the more excited I was. RU-vidrs I watch and reviewers I read can now do a weekly review instead of a season review. Meaning, after every episode we can discuss the twists and turns and theories together. Thers something exciting about that in this world of binge watching because I normally want to talk about and look up reviews of an episode right after I see it. I want to know, what are people thinking, what are people feeling, what do they think is going to happen next! To rate a show badly because you're mad you cant see it all at once is fucking childish. It shows your immaturity because you cant have everything you want right now. And the amount of people who did that shouldnt be shocking to me given the current political climate, but it still is 😔

It's a pity because I feel like if this show was on any other platform, like HBO for example, then Antony Starr's Homelander would undoubtedly be considered in the same light as Jack Gleeson's Joffrey Lannister or Heath Ledger's Joker portrayal. The character would be HUGE. Even though many people love the show, it still feels a bit niche and underrated.

The first episode was kind of messy. First episode felt like a compilation of scenes rather than a narrative. The second episode I thought was good except from the gills talking scene. My least favourite episode is surprisingly the third one. It didn't work for me. The boys and kimiko could not have gotten away from the seven. How the chase between the boys and seven went down felt so faulty.

Do you think the show could've gotten away with torturing the Deep so much (to our amusement) without his actions in the premiere? It feels good to see him suffer, knowing he deserves it. :) And it is hilarious too.

Beau, I get that you are the main guy of the channel, but that does not mean you get to cut off other people and monologue for minutes on minutes. I love the channel and your synergy and way of commenting are really entertaining, but seriously Beau, you should try to stop overshadowing people when they are talking. Have you guys watched bojack horseman cos if you have I would love a video on that show but if not then I could not recommend it enough it is in my opinion by far the best show on Netflix and it’s just so amazing how much the show gets done whilst being a comedy about a talking washed up horse

Why does the show keep making it seem like The Deep doesn't have super durability or Strength. Pretty much every hero we see has those to some degree and he certainly fought like he wasnt worried about being hurt when he took down those thugs with Starlight. But then he is screaming to be let out of a room instead of busting through the door and he gets knocked out from falling off a whale.

any thoughts on what Butcher has scribbled down on that piece of paper ? that's left pretty open. is it a something Stillwell or Homelander mentioned in the previous season ?

Season 2 Final Trailer actually shows who Stormfront is. It shows the crowd she is talking to.

I believe the quote was confusing nice with "dumb" not "good." I really liked that quote & how accurate it was for how some people think about those who are altruistic. There's a quote from Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 that sums up most of the supes in the show (& comic): "It's a dog eat dog world & from where I sit there just ain't enough damn dogs."

Love the reviews. Kinda strange that Beau massively appreciated Jaime Lannister's redemption arc in GOT but dismissed The Deep as being stupid and his situation being funny.

The first three episodes were just ok. Umbrella Academy>The Boys. The boys is alright but i think you have to be in a certain mood to watch it. They should dump all the episodes, a show like Game of Thrones can be a popular week-to-week show, The Boys is not one of those shows.

I love what they did with stormfront. I knew so many white women growing up in the suburbs like her but much less openly racist. These women were all for women’s right but refuse to believe that their is injustices going on outside of their circle. It’s frustrating.

I think by the end of the season, we're gonna get some major character deaths. I feel A-train is being set up to die and maybe even one of The Boys. This show feels like that type of show

I don't think they changed the direction with the Deep. The joke with him last season was the same this season, that he's a wreck of a person whose self made errors are funny because he's also a shitty person.

Even as someone who loved the binge model from the beginning and still does today, I have no problem with Amazon's choice here. There's only still like a few dozen other okay-to-great series across the streaming platforms you can do right now to scratch that itch. It's nice to have a genre show that would inspire fun fan theorizing to get a little more spaced out again to allow for that, I mean they're trying to basically give us both. Release almost half the season at once, the rest weekly. You're looking for problems if you've got one with that. As far the content so far, I did wonder for a moment in the Kenji death scene if there would be a reveal that he also had Kamiko's ability within him, and the bones and tendon would start to re-form to give Stormfront a kind of 'uh oh' moment.

you notice how stormfront wears really dark on one side of homelander, and starlight wears really light costume on the other side of him. it's like he has a devil on one shoulder and an angel on the other. you think this implies that starlight will help to moderate him thru out the season? she didn't have much influence over any of them in the first season. i'm not feeling it, but it would be interesting to see her have more agency in the show without falling in line with the fame and .
