I believe the only reason Black Noir was hurt so bad in this fight is because he was with Soldier Boy when the weapon was used (the weapon that nearly killed Soldier Boy). Notice how we never see the explosion happen and it happens off screen, we also saw Noir easily tank an explosion point blank from a supe who is obviously stronger than man made weapons Edit: His injuries could also be from fighting/trying to assassinate Soldier Boy instead and losing the fight

@@tywanwilliams9814 Uhh sure, that's one cocky and fascinating theory, but look here's the thing, if black noir was made to kill Soldier boy, he'd be most prob working for young Edgar and it doesn't really make sense for him to purposefully take him out, since he's a homelander equivalent PR image supe on the payback team in that time (Unless there's some hidden history to this), and secondly the name of this "Weapon" Or "Power" was mentioned in the latest season and it's called *B-C-L Red* or something like that, which honestly, to me sounds like something in the field of the *Crimson countess* , unless black noir was handed out such a weapon.

@@CG-ej8nu the theory that they wanted soldier boy dead is actually pretty sound, he’s the one who’s the closest to Homelander in terms of strength and we KNOW that black noir’s task was to bring Homelander in case he ever got out of hand so it’s not too far fetched to believe the same could be said for soldier boy. All the documents we see have already pretty much been deemed false since the entire thing was a cover up anyway so it’s odd that they gave us a name but never even showed the weapon being used. We hear Noir talking to Edgar about him taking a leadership role right before the ambush suggesting there would be a change in the hierarchy soon, as well as him saying everyone was ready except for gunpowder which makes sense since gunpowder was basically SB’s sidekick/punching bag and was probably hesitant about what would happen when they tried turn on him. Either Black Noir and the others tried to kill Soldier Boy but couldn’t or the weapon nearly succeeded and incapacitated them both.

I love their interaction bc Kimikos never spoken to a supe thats still figuring things out and it's getting the gears in her head turning about a lot of things. and Ryan's never spoken to someone like Kimiko who's a supe like him but with a better head on her shoulders. gives him clarity on a lot of things too.

I am convinced that Stan Edgar is one of two things. He is Either a clone or has backup clones if he is killed, so he is not afraid of being killed. Or he is a "Multiple Man" type supe, which would be a similar idea, but there is always another him alive and in the wings or in hiding, like a Dupli-Kate from Invincible.

Sounds a bit like Weyoun from 'Deep Space Nine". I'd like to think that his confidence stems from having a contingency plan in case Homelander goes ape shit (like maybe a remote control bomb-in-brain). If Starlight was a bit faster-thinking, she could have countered Homelander's world domination threat by making him suspect that there was a plan to keep him in check.

Best part about this show is that they speak the truth about what's happening and what has happened in the United States including Government dropped off drugs/ Contraband in minority communities which is the crack pandemic.

I loved that this season focused on those issues and highlighted the political injustices and the drug epidemic that ravished black communities. A shout out to the crack epidemic that ruined the black community, and the racial profiling that goes on today. This season dealt with so much issues from systematic racism, religion, bullying, sexual assault, mental health and so on. This show is just brilliant. 10/10

To be clear, there are like 3 million Federal employees. It's not the Government, as though it's some monolith. It was a very small group of really terrible people taking actions, and a somewhat larger group of less terrible people who unwittingly had a part and either never knew it, kept silent, or were forced to silence. The Dark Alliance newspaper series by Gary Webb--which was fascinating when I read it in the Mercury News ages ago--is a good introduction, though more evidence has emerged since then.

Though they were some good people who tried to fight against these insidious decisions, they were a majority that were happy enough to stand by and watch these destructions take place (the primary aim was to destabilise) when the same drug that was in upper class areas had the same effect though the administrations were different.

I kinda agree with you. We only saw her twice: after Homelander threatened A-train for gaining weight and when he met up Butcher. I was also hoping for more. But I think it kinda hammered home that voight used her to capitalize on pride along with diversity and other woke topics. I haven't read the comics, but my theory is that there isn't exactly a "weapon" that killed Soldier Boy, but possibly a sort of anti-V serum that can take away superpowers from someone, and that's what they used on him. And they're hiding Solider Boy away so no one finds out. I think they will eventually use this anti-V serum on Homelander to take away his superpowers.

In the comics the supes are not as durable as in the show. Homelander being one of the strongest and most durable is still hurt by big enough guns and explosions. Several supes in the comics were killed by small arms fire when the dps heroes got ahead of the tank heroes due to poor tactics. A large number of supes were beaten to death with blunt objects weilded by the powered up Boys.

@@aaroncappleman829 In the red river scene there is a kid who can teleport and his name is Teddy Stillwell. After the end of season one when Homelander killed Madelyn Stillwell her house exploded because of a bomb Butcher had planted and Homelander saved Butcher before he could die in the explosion but Madelyn’s baby was also in the house. In season one Homelander was very resentful of Madelyn’s baby and in general he’s a very selfish person so it was hard to believe that he would have cared enough to rescue both Butcher and the Baby from the house explosion. Now that we learn he can teleport that means the baby probably saved himself from the explosion and in season two it was confirmed the baby was found in a random location. Also Madelyn has a lot of power due to her job at Vaught so it is definitely within the realm of possibility that she had her baby injected with vaught.

I have a feeling they'll hand a scene where they find the original Black Noir somewhere already dead. And that'll lead to the reveal that Black Noir is a Homelander clone. It's the ultimate twist ending. Because they're misleading us this whole time. Making us think they aren't following the comic only to reveal that they are The one clue that I'm basing this on is this. In Malory's story Black Noir was scared by an explosion and clearly in pain. Also it didn't heal But the current Black Noir has been in 2 close quarters explosions and both times he hardly flinched. And if I'm not mistaken his wounds healed after that house bomb. That's two very different reactions to explosions. Might that be the clue that maybe this Black Noir is a dufferent person altogether?

I'm pretty sure they were implying that Starlight had appendicitis. She said her side really hurt, but mom told her to go on anyway. Her clenching her fist was showing how much pain she was in on the inside, while smiling and waving.

I find it interesting that according to his book and movie The Deep leaves a cult to escape from being controlled (although he doesn't leave he got kicked out) only to end up being controlled by his wife and Homelander. (but mostly Homelander) So if he wants to be back in The Seven he must be under Homelander's control as he's forced to eat poor Timothy. He's also using The Deep to get into Starlight's head and undermine her authority in The Seven as co-captain so he can always assume full control. Also Homelander comparing himself to Jesus is a take on people comparing Superman to Jesus. And Finally I don't think that Stormfront is dead as I believe that Vought will be, and is using her to go against Homelander and will end up being like a Darth Vader type character. She will become a villain to the villains.

That "Thanus" scene is foreshadowing how crazy and deprived this season is going to be. I also feel like there's a real family throughline this season either biological or adopted, which leads me to believe there will be more reveals along those lines. Perhaps Noir and Edgar are brothers and their relationship will mirror A-train and his brother's relationship only in a negative light. Maybe that's why Black Noir is so loyal to Edgar but hey that's just a thought.

Agreed that there's a family theme so far: the Stillwell baby which was in a kind of fraternal rivalry with Homelander in the first season, Hughie signing up himself and Starlight to adopt a child, Homelander's whole shtick about having no roots like Jesus compared to A-Train trying to find his second wind in his racial background, Hughie's father coming back, MM's family past and present, Ryan obviously trying to find a father figure in Butcher, Kimiko still not over Kenji's death, etc.

@@heavyspoilers except that it’s not true. Blue falcon is the “polite way” of saying buddy fucker. Buddy is a term used in the military to always go anywhere in at least a pair. Go to the head (bathroom) with your buddy. You become a buddy fucker, or a blue falcon, when you turn on your buddy ie telling on him to the higher ups when he’s doing something, being the cause of his death in combat, or not helping him out during times of need - combat related or not. - from a Marine war vet.

To add more, Trichotillomania shares a lot of similar symptoms with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), but it is more on the spectrum of obsessive-compulsive. I have it because of OCD/anxiety (and sometimes I am not aware that I am doing this), but it is very minor compared to other people. There was a quick cameo I loved in Episode 2, when Hughie was at the Red River institute and looking through the children's profiles there was a picture of the actress Jaz Sinclair as the supe kid "Marie M." She's set to star in a The Boys teen spinoff probably reprising the role. It's a great bit of setup that just makes the world feel more connected.
