Welcome to the Heavy Spoilers show, I'm your host Paul and with The Boys bowing out with one of the best Season Finale's I've seen in a long time, we have a lot to talk about.
Throughout this video we're gonna be going through the full final episode and discussing all the easter eggs and things you missed.
As always there will be Heavy Spoilers here and if you haven't seen the episode yet then I highly recommend that you turn off now. Make sure you drop a thumbs up if you've enjoyed the coverage and don't forget to subscribe for more Boys coverage through the next couple of weeks.
With that out the way, thank you for clicking this, now let's get into the breakdown.
Things quickly pick up in the episode and we jump across to the aftermath of the attack last week. A national emergency is about to be declared by the President and he has authorised Compound V for use by the Authorities.
Now though Victoria Neuman states that it was vought who carried it out as a coup, we actually learn that it was her behind this the entire time.
I'm gonna just jump to the end of the episode to discuss her entire plan so you aren't waiting too long but obviously we'll be breaking things down from the rest of the episode more in-depth in just a bit.
Now Victoria Neuman is actually based off the comic book character Vic The Veep, who, in the source material was a vought puppet that the corporation were trying to get into the white house so that they would be able to overrule any potential laws that could be passed against them.
By the end of the entry it does seem like Vic is indeed going after the presidency and we end with her going appointment in congress, much like AOC who the character is saterising. You might remember that in our episode four breakdown we mistakingly said that in the comics Vic The Veep was a supe himself and its kinda crazy that that mistake actually came true in the long run as it's a massive diversion from the source material.
I was sure that it was cindy behind the attack but it looks like I was completely wrong on that and she will likely come back in the third season to potentially expose what Vought were up to.

Can we all say that almost literally MOST OF US WOULD NEVER thought it was congress woman *Neumann behind the heads exploding* . We thought it was Cindy since she was the most obvious candidate or a Supes that is a fly or the Fresca drink itself. The first twist was Neuman working for the Church of the collective , however, the SECOND TWIST was her being a Supes in disguise and being the actual perpetrator in the scene , she even killed Alistair , it might seem that she either has her own political agenda in this or a personal one. This was such a brilliant well written twist ontop of another twist from the writers, so much thought process put into it Season 3 is gonna be really interesting with how Season 2 ended. We might soon see an unhinged Homelander going all out in the last Season of this amazing show.

14:52 I was trying to figure out how Ryan's beams fried Stormfront while only puncturing Becca's throat and I think it's because the beams were so strong that they smashed Stormfront away, but because she was gripping onto Becca's throat it caused her to tear a hole in it. Makes more sense than Ryan shooting his mom.

When Becca and Ryan reunited, the acting was so naturally intense and relieved and heartwarming that I had to pause it for a second. The way she scrambled to put the headphones on and he was so glad to see her again, man.

I also like how Homelander mentioned during that scene to Ryan that he does cry, though the poor guy had to go and undercut that with his dumb machismo and say he hasn't cried in a while because he's a man. But then during that scene where Maeve forces him to leave them alone, you can actually see him tearing up when he gives up.

Homelanders actor one of the best ive ever witnessed as much as you dont like to admit it lol. Hate homelander but seeing glimpses of a loving father gained a smidge of love from me. Felt at the end though, that he just wanted to use him again!

Stan Edgar’s action make perfect sense actually. He told Homelander in the beginning of the season that Vought is a drug company so Stormfront endorsing V is ultimately a good thing for Vought even tho he doesn’t agree with her views he see her usefulness when it comes to getting the public to embrace V. Vought is literally playing both side against the middle and at the end everyone ends up working for them so Stan was really the silent big bad of the season while letting stormfront take the fall.

Also there is one part you left out when Becca died in the comics it was "Homelanders" sons super power fetus that ripped her apart. Butcher found her dead body laying next to him and the flying fetus with it's eyes blaring. So he killed the fetus by bashing it to death. When he picked up the crowbar it was a nod to the comics of Ryan killing his mother and Butcher killing Ryan. Even thought they changed it

I'm sure you know the answer to this by now but While on my quest to understand what i missed, i saw on someome else's page (can't remember which now... I watched so many 😖) a translation of what storm front's German rant, and basically she was recalling a time when her daughter was young and Storm front and her hubby Vought, were riding along and the daughter would stick her hand outside the window to catch the wind and they went to pick apples and that was the first time her daughter tasted apples. Like i said, I'm sure you know this OR maybe the translation i got was bupkiss lmbo! I just wanted to share.... 8mos later lmbo! Thanks again! And again love your page!

What if Victoria Nueman is actually working for Edgar, we know that she had to have been given compound V so she is obviously attached to them. What if this whole time Edgar has been planning and calling the shots, she creates a crisis for him that then results in compound V being sold on a much larger scale and he profits from this

I do get the idea that Edgar is pulling all the strings. He did not seem worried at all about Stormfront, clearly he has a lot more going on than we are shown. However, in the first episode the CIA woman mentions a coup at vought when her head explodes, implying that Nueman is part of that coup. Given that Edgar is already in full control of Vought, he wouldn't be organizing a coup against himself.

Finally someone said it. This whole season Edgar has been following her on tv. She is definitely a company plant. She wanted all the witnesses they could find in that courtroom. She was just controlling the narrative for Vought. When the church leader threatened the company he went pop. The coup is not against the company. Its Vought against the government.

I didn’t know about it for the longest time, but it’s more common than most people realize with over 200,000 cases a year. This is next level representation. Kudos to the writers.

I actually felt sorry for Homelander a bit and he came off as surprisingly warm when he talked about being a kid and how he got scared and cried when he was overwhelmed. And the way he was with Ryan when they went to planet vaught or what ever getting him out of there calmly and protecting him. He definitely was realizing how crazy Stormfront was too and wasn’t feeling the white genocide thing. They make these characters so layered it’s what makes this show so good.

And The boys tv show is based on the comic. it is NOT the comic. Maeve being there is like in the comic when she finally stands up to homelander, she stands up to vought here. And also everything in shows are planned, but I don’t feel it’s “forced” because it’s logical.

There's actually trivia timestamps if you pause the episode in certain areas, just thought you should know. At 32:20, there's trivia about the origami mouse figures that Kimiko interacts with. It says, "The origami mouse figures hold a special meaning for Kimiko - she and her brother, Kenji, would make them for each other as gifts during their time in the Shining Light Liberation Army training camp. So when she found the origami mouse figure at the docks in episode 201, she knew it was made by her brother."

I know I usually just say “hi Paul” in different languages but I just rewatched the episode again regarding what Stormfront said. Not sure if anyone else yet here has translated and it took several playbacks but she says the below: "It was so beautiful. How the three of us sat there, in the shade of an apple tree. Do you remember the day Frederick? Chloe's arms out of the car window. We found the perfect spot by the river, in the shade of an apple tree. It was the first time Chloe ate fresh apples." Then Homelander came along and she muttered the below. "... was so happy. It was wonderful. I wanted it to never end." So yeah...basically she’s just muttering about her husband (Vought) and her daughter and is reminiscing about the old days.

Thanks for the awesome video. Your video on Season 2 Ep. 7 was all that kept me from going all Homelander on the writing staff for such a suspenseful cliffhanger. Honestly, I'd be surprised if they brought Stormfront back- Kripke loves making pop culture references, but never the same one twice- and never so obvious as it would be if he "resurrected" a Supe Darth Vader. Love the insight from the comics! Why did you show a picture of Jensen Ackles when you were talking about Soldier Boy? Could Ackles be joining the cast next season? I really felt for Homelander during this episode- comforting his son, then his pain when Ryan rejects him (with f#&$ing good reason, but I still felt for him). Homelander is a fascinating, somewhat tragic Super Villain who is ironically unaware of how little power he actually has over his own life, since Vought considers him a manufactured product that is carefully coddled. Please do a video on exploring possible storylines for Season 3! The show wrapped everything up so neatly, I'm worried there will never be another season!

Stormfront can heal herself. Remember when Homelander burned her chest? So, maybe she'll be like DC's Cyborg or completely healed and pop up in a new super identity, just like when she dropped the Liberty persona and returned as Stormfront.
