The Boys were also suped up pretty early on in the comics, it was kind of strange they waited until season 3 to do so. Nevertheless I’m super excited!!

I am glad they are giving them powers now because in the comic it was their v enhanced bodies and their experience working with the government which made them dangerous against these untrained superheroes.

Yep. Butcher and the rest of the boys (apart from Hughie) are all on compound v. They sneakily give it to Hughie and he kills one of the teen heroes and almost leaves the team.

He's only reason I'm gonna watch this season. Season 2 felt annoying n boring

Yup, by the end of the comics Billy is the biggest monster of them all! It’s quite heartbreaking honestly, but makes total sense.

Sadly, Billy knew this fact. Billy cared a lot for his wife and his younger brother. Oddly enough, Billy would never kill Huey. The rest of them no cares in the world.

@@IMZ44 I believe that’s because Billy sees Hughie like his little brother, and he also sees his own tragedy reflected in Hughie loosing his love at the beginning. Also I think personally that Billy sees a little of himself in Hughie as well, although ultimately Hughie is able to learn and grow from the events of the boys and not be completely consumed by it like Billy was. A very fitting ending IMO, I fuckin loved the comics!

While I still feel sympathy for Billy at this point, he will lose one's sympathy for him when he abuses Ryan in seasons 3+. Ryan a victim to circumstances, he had horrible "father figures" to look after him in the absence of his mother and was isolated in a fake suburban home, is abused at an early age and exposed to traumas that scarred him for life, and I wouldn't be surprised if he becomes more manipulative and insane than Shitlander and Billy just because Ryan wants to be loved by his mom's spouse, who's no better than homelander. And to think that the only time Billy will finally give Ryan his approval and feels proud of him, is the time where Ryan is completely dead inside. Probably doesn't care about getting Billy's attention anymore, realizing Ryan wasted his whole life and gave soul to Billy. Ryan thought he would be happy, that was why he was so obsessed with pleasing Billy after all. Ryan thought his pain would go away, but... he just feels empty....a darkness... just exactly what you'd expect for one to feel after making a demon like Billy, happy because Billy is only happy once he consumes you whole, and there's nothing left.

I mean..well. It would be close to the comic. 👀

@@damonestephens8722 well yeah he can't piss his pants like in the comics. This is obviously a different interpretation which might be taking the place of another couple of characters in the comic book so this will be interesting on what happens.

Comic was mid 1/3 shallow political commentary, 1/3 dated shock humor, 1/3 great character building and bonding. The art doesn't get any better either

@@aradamichaels927 that's true but I'm mainly addressing the concept of the edgy superhero and the potential detriment that other companies often put themselves in by learning the wrong lessons.

Because it was more violent than than DC and Marvel combined? I disagree, the boys is definitely keeping the superhero genre alive . Once marvel have no characters or ideas left then is over, the same with DC. Good writing and compelling characters is not something you can pull off in every single show.

@@luisalonso959 LOL the fact you think that Marvel or DC will run out of characters or ideas is hilarious. Once The Boys is done then it'll be done and people will buy the blurays and that's it. The Boys will give a bit of spice to the genre but that's it. My main point that you brushed over is that I don't want other companies to learn the wrong lessons where we get a bunch of edgy violent shows with no substance. The Boys work because of how the characters are affected by the violence and how much we care about the characters. #SitDown

​@@Paddict227 In My Opinion it felt a little preachy, like it had a political agenda. There's a fine line between great storytelling and pandering. FOR ME (even though it was still a great season) the show towed that line closely in S2. I could go on explaining the exact moments and episodes but it seems you feel highly different and that's fine for you to have that opinion. I'm just not a fan of that type of storytelling and from what I've heard the show has been better than the comics so I'm pretty sure they know what they're doing

No. It works on the same receptors as opioid painkillers do. So a lot of pain patients choose that route & addicts who want to quit and/or are super sick it's a (currently anyway) legal accessible thing that people who might not of other wise had an alternative not been available. It's more a rly hardcore feel good tea than anywhere close to an opiod tho. But lots of addicts have had success with it as a crutch more so than a new knee if that analogy helps at all lol 🧡🦇
