Then Black Noir is the real main antagonist of The Boys since he instigated the assault of Becca Butcher triggering Billy Butcher hatred on all supes.

If I remember correctly Homelander initially wasn't too bad of a person, he was incompetent, didn't pay attention, and didn't think a head, so he caused collateral damage, but there wasn't malice behind those actions, as an example: During the 9/11 incident he ends up killing another super on his team by accident because the guy in holding on to him since he can't fly and Homelander tries to stop one of the planes by flying through it, the guy who was holding on wasn't durable enough so that action resulted in his death. Homelander started going off the deep end thanks to Noir, because Homelander couldn't reconcile what he was seeing in the video tapes and pictures, so he comes to the conclusion he had to have actually done those things since he didn't know he had a clone, and as a result he was under the assumption he had episodes were he blacked out and these things would happen. Due to believing he was already doing these horrible actions he began actually doing horrible actions and developed into the person we know him as. It's why during his final encounter when Noir when he realizes Noir was the one that did everything in those pictures and videos he snaps and essentially says "The only reason I did those things was I thought I was already doing them, you ruined my life!" before attacking.

I am so sorry about Comicstorian (Benny Potter). He was the first comics content creator I watched on RU-vid. He was the one who got me hooked on your channel.

Boys series is different from the boys comics. But series expanded it well imo...

Homelander lived by the sword 🗡️ and he died by the sword 🗡️ He lived his life with the power to make humanity better and in the end he died at the hands of someone just as evil if not more evil than him. Homelander is probably the most popular super powered dude right now but he was a manipulated ass clown. Give me Superman any day or Tom Brady any day.

Homelander's talk with A Train in the TV show happened in a way, although for a different reason that it did in the comics. It was mostly about him being a slob and smearing the Seven's image by eating too much and not doing enough to promote a positive image for them as a speedster. It is more or less in line to the "Don't fuck with money" conversation Homelander had with him in the comics, but for a entirely different reason.

I think The Boys is going to change a great deal in the ending of killing Homelander. There will be zero Black Noir clone or anything like it. Homelander will do the same action trying to take over the White House but it will be Ryan vs Homelander and I feel like Homelander death will be way slower. Now mind you I do have a fan theory that the show will have either a way more optimist ending where Ryan doesn't become like Homelander or turn evil and become a actual superhero. Or they will have a very dark ending where Ryan kills Homelander and thats the final straw that breaks him and turns him evil as I think Butcher will also die and Ryan wouldn't have anyone to help him process the massive amount of tramua he has. Becoming down the line like a more dangerous Homelander without Vought.

Years from now it'll always be obvious when this era of video was made because the enthusiasm level in the explanation is dialed back just a bit. Noticable barely as I'm a regular watcher. Love you and all your content, take a break if you need too, grieve the loss of your friend. It's ok.

"Noir" is French for black so his name is basically Black Black which is the same name twice, which ties into him being a clone. He's a double of another person.

Rob, I'm not sure if you'll read this, especially given your week, but I just wanted to leave this either way. You and Benny really are the most educated, biggest voices in the comic scene. Anyone who loves comics knows it. You two were so different, but both had that energy that every one of us fans loves. MAN let me tell ya something, you two really are the reason so many people have rekindled their love of comics in a broader sense. This would be a sadder world without either of you. I lost my best friend and I know how it feels. We love you, man. We really do. Thank you for everything that you do for the scene. People love Benny because even from afar you could see this guy really poured his heart into this stuff and was just a generally great guy. We won't forget him.

I don't think this death is satisfying. Homelander is killed off-screen. We don't see the fight between Black Noir and Homelander. Don't know but it seems lackluster to me to kill of Homelander like that.

I think the show will end with the White House raid we saw in the comics, but instead of the clone killing him, Ryan is gonna kill him. Mark my words if my prediction comes true!

For a channel named "Comics Explained" it didn't really explain really well.. Anyways there's already tons of comments actually explaining the plot better.

Spoiler warning for the show: So curious on what they are gonna do in the show considering they changed black noirs character and killed him off. Maybe the person they replace Noir with is the homelander clone? Who knows.

I’m not sure how they are going to end the show.. the reveal in the comics was great.. the show took a massive turn and ruined the twist. However it does look like BN is back as I think I saw set or cast photos.. but still.. I think they’ll go an entirely different route.

So what happens if black went rouge?? Do they have an even more powerful guy in check to stop him? That kinda feels like lazy writing tbh..

Whoever wrote and or drew the panel with the baby is just a horrible person. That's not entertaining. That doesn't make the story better. It's just sickness by a sick person.

So did homelander ever do anything bad in the comics and if not why didn't he just say something and be like hey I didn't do those things it makes no sense for that to be a big reveal in the comics
