My thoughts exactly. It was just one big orgy with titties and asses out. Nothing especially new or vulgar for scenes like this shown in the past on the small / big screen. It just had superpowers that added more flare lol. I still have the dude shrinking into the other dude's dick hole and exploding him as the worst thing
@@iithax01 in the first season butcher took hughie to an aa meet but for survivors and there was this dude who got his ween frozen meaning it was turning black and fell off and he was afterwards dickless. So in conclusion when the icedildo got inserted i figured the bodypart died.
"Herogasm" wasn't nearly as bad as it was hyped up to be. It was about on the level of the average "Spartacus" episode. That show is soooo underrated. RIP Andy Whitfield.
I agree but theres only so much a tv show, even a rated R streaming show, can put on before the FCC start dishing out fines. Anything more graphic and its classified as pornography which is still illegal to show on airwaves (streaming or broadcast)
Spartacus was ABSOLUTELY amazing!!! But If you have ever seen the NC17 version of Caligula, that makes even Spartacus look like a Saturday morning cartoon.
The Termite scene was way more shocking. I had never heard of Herogasm until the TV show. I had zero knowledge, expectation or anticipation of it. I didn't realise it was meant to be such a big deal, I thought it was just another plot point for a fight with Homelander, until I looked up the comic after all the hype reviewing the TV episode.
@@frickfrack369 I'm not sure if it's in the comics? But in the series The Termite shrinks and goes up inside a man's penis or butt. You see upclose in detail. He sneezes and grows full size by accident and explodes the guy
It wasn't a true herogasm though and i dont think people understand that. They even say in the episode. Its out of the twin's house, instead of an island. They were desperate to continue the event even after it's original host stopped hosting it.
Meh. I found Termite in episode 1 way more shocking than this Herogasm episode. So much hype for nothing. The episode itself was good as they all are, the fight scene was amazing, but there was nothing of the so-called depravity. As I said, episode 1 was WAY worse. I understand they can't really make it too extreme without turning it into an outright porno but then don't hype it so much.
@@AmbeanWambulance I hope you're right and we get an uncut version at some point. Probably will have to wait for the home release. My disappointment can not be overstated.
Actually, that was pretty tame if you want to know the truth. At least it was the least surprising. The thing that grossed me out the most was Love Sausage. Although it did give birth to a line from a reaction video that killed me dead: "Oooo, I hope that's a LONG FINGER...!"
Not gonna lie, the episode didn’t end up being as shocking as I thought it would be. I was honestly more shocked and disturbed by the Termite scene at the beginning of the season and Noir’s cartoon flashback of Soldier Boy beating the shit out of him. I think the show does a lot of things better than the comics did tbh. A lot of the comics feels like cheap shock value made by a guy with a hateboner for superheroes.
Utter hate for something becomes just as bad as thing subject of hate. For example I hated the new Star Wars trilogy but goddamn I also hate the thousands of videos made about them spewing the same trash. The boys comic is similar in that regard imo
I think it has to do with the series being left wing propaganda against the right, and a giant illegal sex club is a little too close to home for the real left.
Okay, y’all gotta admit this series is a goddamn masterpiece by making everyone seem like a massive shit heel. You can’t really root for anyone but Huey. He’s precious, sort of. He does bad stuff too
I feel bad for starlight n hughie they're literally just trying to keep the peace but they get assault like it's a regular thing n knowing black noir is part of the boys makes it even worst like nothing would have stopped him from clapping hughies cheeks
Alright I just finished watching the episode and idk if I'm just a numb individual but I didn't feel uncomfortable at all watching it. So far it was the best episode of season 3 IMO. May be I missed something that I was suppose to feel guilty about watching this, but I didn't.
Even the actors were traumatized by this episode either they're making out to be like a porno or they're just hyping it up, I'm not sure but we'll see when it drops tomorrow and I've been loving this series (I regretted not watching it earlier but I'm glad I have now)
@@eghoseisiramen1892 it was kinda...disappointing, there are some WTF bits here and there but it was no where near as messed up as the comics one. With the exception of the big fight at the end. Seems they had to cut most of it out
The Boys comicbook is truly one of the WORST series I've ever laid eyes upon.. brilliant concept to be sure.. but Ennis takes it to an extreme of unending depravity &mean spiritedness that's just unnecessarily edgelordy &after awhile the degenerate behaviour seems to be the whole point rather than a plot point &unique part of the premise.. added to that the dehumanising levels of racism &the fact that there isn't ONE single likeable individual in the entire run makes it a chore to get through.. when everyone's a rapey incestpedoserialkillermassmurderer it's gets kind of boring &pointless after a while God only knows how the TV show salvaged something worthwhile . Especially with Kripke who is let's just say kinda kreepy irl &leave it at that 💀
FINALLY someone says what i was thinking I absolutely hate the comic and to this day I have no idea how anyone managed to make a fantastic show out of the source material tho i didn’t know kripke was a bit of creep what did he do? he seems like a nice guy 🤷♀️
You’re expecting The Avengers or Batman here? This is The Boys after all, as to a “like-able character” you have Hughie & The Frenchman and even Mother’s Milk & The Female have some redeeming qualities, although they’d certainly never be considered role models anymore than Jessie Custer would be considered to be a spotless man of the cloth.
Nah you just a soft sensitive little 🐱, if this kinda stuff hurt you so much god forbid how you deal with real world depravity Which is what the boys is just with super powers
That's the point of the Boys your suppose to hate it The Seven can't control their powers the Boys is more of a real version of Heroes that they can be major asshole with God complex Like Homelander
@@BlackTestament I'm not gonna say too much. Just don't be too surprised if u hear any weird metoo type stuff about his CW days flying out of the woodwork
Herogasm on the Boy's series was pretty genius. They really made you worry and the danger felt genuine. I jumped, was disgusted, and on my seat for most of the show. Costa Rica would have really put it over the top, but their meager attempt was quite satisfying. I also felt like they could have had a lot of fun adding more flavor from Love Sausage and Ezekiel who should be Herogasm regulars.
The carnage & the x-rated stuff so far hasn’t been nowhere as crazy as the comcis so doubt it they’ll go there with Herogasm. Not sayin show bad, it’s one of my fav shows, just think they might be hypin something that’ll be not as nuts
@@ht4236 It was shocking yes but if that same scene played out in comic it would’ve been more gross. Like we would see what the movement looked like from the outside in full view of his junk. As soon as we saw what he was going into & then jumping in, that was it. Yes the inside view was great touch but coulda been more. Again not saying show is bad just sayin they reel themselves back from hitting comic levels of graphic
@@calebtheowl1516 Same reason they still show what they do let pass - it has an effect. Some people found it more humorous then nope. Playing it safe sometimes lessens the impact. They don’t have go full comic, but don’t pull your punches
People in the comment are missing the point, did you really think Amazon was hyping up the episode because it contained rape and sex and that was it? They were hyping it for the fight in it which was amazing and why this episode is considered one of the best
I haven't watched the show on Prime yet, but I think Herogasm works better for animation adaptations since most actors would understandably be uncomfortable in sex scenes of that extreme level.
I dunno why but with all the "build up" they have with those teaser trailers and BTS, I feel like they gonna troll us in some way like if the orgy is mostly offscreen or something!
All the gore, it's upsetting that nudity had a bigger impact it seems or at least they hype it up to have, though I don't blame them for being a little shock with a couple of things. The door greeting and the TV feed are two very upsetting things. The only comparison being episode 1 of the third season and Termite. Like I've only seen a few people that intimately and now some extra that had his full shaft to taint to butthole filmed (not factoring porn, though honestly it doesn't linger on guys undercarriage that same way very often). Sounds like they're just trying to create shock hype though. The violence should be more "upsetting" but perhaps thats so much in post-production, whereas nudity is right there on set for them to act through and try to ignore. But still, very concerned we're still disturbed by our bodies more than gruesome harm against them depicted.
I prefer gore over tons of rape and humiliation and degradation, I cant imagine any revenge that makes starlights humiliation worth it, Id rather kill myself
As GRR Martin once said, he can describe in absolute detail a spear entering someone's eye and no one bats and eye; he can describe with the same amount of detail a penis entering a vagina and everyone goes batshit crazy and there's calls to censor him because "what about the children?!?!?!?!?". I blame religion, mostly Christianity in the West, for this we we as a society have of viewing perfectly natural and beautiful things (nudity, sex) as something we need to hide away, whereas violence is fine.
@@simonepagnotta5112Christianity is absoloutely solely to blame, every culture unaffected by it views sex as something beautiful and natural, look at the modern western society that's slowly rejecting Christianity's morals, sex is everywhere because we all love sex and why wouldn't we? It's how we survive as a species and a really fun activity.
Compared to comics like "crossed" or "die! Die!Die" or other not so famous and known ones yes. Compared to the more mainstream audience that mainly only knows new DC and Marvel. Then no
The hotels portrayed in the comic are actually real, they were built by the nazis during ww2 because hitler had the idea of an affordable holiday for the people. I believe they were never opened and ended up being used as field hospitals.
@@agentchaos9332 lol. Though tremendously delicious sounding, you're still trying to resist that cannibalistic urge. I get it, but remember friendship didn't stop The Deep from scarfing down his Octopus pal Frankie.
then he wouldn't have gotten all the penance he deserves for the shit he pulled at the beginning of the sho. He still hasn't gotten what he deserves tbh
I love how they show "The Deep" at 18:16 with that octopus on his plate and now fast forward to the latest herogasm episode with the deeps last octopus scene... Ironyyy! 🐙😂
Also find it funny that two different octopus apparently love sucking cock. We know the first one was male as it was referred to as "he" so I want to call it a gay fish but that joke doesn't work because its not a fish.
A lot of channels just grab things that are trending and try to get in on it with barely any research. It's obnoxious. Makes me stop watching immediately.
Look how many people commented and gave this video traction, just by aying the name wrong. Have you seriously not noticed how nearly every youtuber has stopped tying to learn how to pronounce words, because the comments are $.
Of course it's not the same, but I read several "The Crossed" comics, which are kinda disgusting, so "this" can't have the same effect on me... right? 😅
Such a fucked up comic. There was one panel where the people were being chased by the crossed infected and one dude and a girl thought a ring salt would be a Deterrent. The infected just looked at them and the next panel they were stabbed with their organs out being raped. Pretty fucked up
In the end the episode from the tv show wasn't nothing so shoking, but was good because the character development. We can say that the real herogarms was the confrontation between Soldier Boy , Homelander, Butcher and Hugie, what made me think that for more that try be transgressor the best thing in the episode was the old fashion battle between super-heros.
The hype for this episode alone is freaking amazing! I can’t wait to see how viewers, critics, reviewers, audiences worldwide who watch this shit respond/react to this episode!lol, smfh REALTALK 🤩🤩🤩🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🤓🤓🤓🤣🤣🤣🚀🚀🚀 #LETS_GO!!! 😁😁😁…..
This comic portrays how superheroes really would be in our world. They are human beings just like us, and are going to be imperfect. Not everything is black or white, but things are more in that gray area.
@@bitchface235 Are they worth watching though? I loved the pool table "action" and the jail break "celebration", anything like that here? Just saying, Carla Gugino suited up like that is next to impossible to top...
@@el_killorcureWatchmen only had the Comedian as a kinda Homelander, Rorschach, nite owl and Ozzy have some kind of morality, as much twisted, and Manhattan doesn't care. Hedonism was never really explored in Watchmen
I wasn't much into comics i swear... but after watching akira, ichi the killer and the boys i wanted to read the comics out of curiosity... let's just say that comics gives you way more freedom... at this point, it is just about our mind restrictions about certain mediums... golden rule: watch/read something only in its original form. It's always the best solution.
i honestly didn’t think it was all that bad tbh, if anything it reminded me of the scene from The Watch when they think there’s an alien base but it’s really a secret orgy society 😂
@@stephenboud1711 they're tons of examples but not many get turned into a good live action TV series/movie. Preacher is another example, so is the classic watchmen comic
Honestly I think that the overhype of the depravity of hero-gasm was intentional to shit on parents who thought the boys was another random superhero medium Us who already knew about the boys don’t think much of it as we usually see far worse via the violence and brutality
I love the show because it’s kinda what it would be like if Superhero’s were real, they wouldn’t be born they’d be made most likely. We’d have hero’s who are unstable or just irresponsible and reckless
It's called the "New French Extremity"... Some French cinema is doing Marquis de Sade proud 😉. Also directors like Lars von Trier and Werner Herzog are quite over the top
Idk none of this seems rly extreme. I think it's just that many Americans only watch their media and aren't used to adult themes present a lot in other mediums of media. I mean the witcher books are more fucked up than herogasam.
I am going to disagree. Herogasm is TAME. I can actually look up more hardcore material that Herogasm. So, "Oh! No! Nekkid Homelander!" I'm pretty sure I can find Homelander taking up the rear. Herogasm is just ... Eh? I can find this online.
I like these vids but the narrators need to know what they are reading. It's either a lack of prep or inability to read but it's a little annoying. The writing is great, the reading meh.
The comics are so over the top to the point of absurdity, and completely nihilistic. There are moments..glimmers…of humanity in the TV series that are completely absent from the comics, which is what makes the series more appealing. The comic, while great, approaches edgelord status in its depictions of violence, gore, r*pe, murder, etc to the point it just becomes silly and cartoonish in a ‘Mortal Kombat’ sort of way. The whole point of the comic is ‘what if supes were real?’ but the series does a better job at actually humanizing the characters. The comic counterparts are more or less caricatures.
Listen, I was pretty used to all the over-the-top stuff so the episode didn't SHOCK me like that bcz I already seen worse things in the series BUT WHEN A TRAIN DRAGGED BLUE HAWK ALL OVER AND U COULD SEE HIS RIBS COMING OUT. OH MY GOD
