For a full beatbox performance instead of a loop battle, check out 'If Only' - by River, Colaps, Alexhino, and Hiss. There's quite a bit about the whole community that is awesome in terms of quality, and the Loopstation side of it is definitely my favourite, but sometimes taking a moment to see the raw techniques without looping can give you a better appreciation! :)

Balance is a UK loopstation artist who smashed it the year before. NME was giving him a nod / remixing one of his tacks and the sign Rhythmind was making was saying NME was “biting” balances style. Im a big fan of balance and recommend you watch some of his battles from 2018!

There is a tag team loop station battle from gbb 2019 I think maybe. It wasn’t really a battle as much as it is a showcase but it’s MB14 and Saro versus Tom Thum and Gene Shinozaki. You could check out Tom or Gene individually also, they are ill

NME have great reactions to Rhytmind. In first round Rhytmind use gun to headshot, but NME have uzi. In second round Rhymind showed that NME die. NME says ok if i'm dead i show you my heaven. Both are awesome!

It gets so much crazier, too. For GBB2022, they had tag team loopstation. So-So and his friend RUSY (both part of their beatbox crew Sarukani) did a tag team loopstation performance as "SORRY" for GBB2022 using two loopstations and it was such an amazing performance. Loop was so good in 2022. Even crazier this year.

I agree with your first round synopsis outside of the fact that I feel like this was the last proper response in a loop station battle. These days the next guy just plays his round he had planned or switched for a different round but no real response. Only solo beatboxers actually respond to their opponent in a battle anymore

12:00 From what I have observed the motion he did with his arms is mostly a sign of respect, an unaudible clap if you will. I see him do it when somethings dope. So he gave respect to the shoutout to another routine and the good counter. I hope you also check out Beardyman's Judge showcase for this, it was almost completely freestyle and its next level.
