I don't know your background on this stuff but you always seem to present stuff in a well thought out manor. I also don't know how you did it but your channel has the most civil comment section I've ever seen and thats rare on here.... Kudos to you and you have definitely earned a new subscriber with me

Thank you so much for that! I’m a very down to earth presenter, who tries to do his best to anticipate objections. I’m also not very antagonistic. I just stand up for what’s right and I present it as a shameful thing to come over here and troll an act immature and for the most part people do not. This is a Channel for sensible people who like to enjoy common interest, even disagreements in peace. Have a great day.

Thanks for the video. That's a beautiful location. I grew up in East Tennessee, and I went to college at VPI. I remember those scenes fondly.

I received my BPS adventure Bushcraft knife today from Amazon. The first thing I did was sharpen it with a fine razor edge then I went outside and used my Ferro rod to start a fire. This thing is fantastic. It works great thank you sir for the great video on this knife It’s definitely one of my favorites for sure especially for camping

Amazon has a bunch of BPS knives, even a couple of blade blanks (really cheap, around $20) that just need you to put your own handles on. A lot of their outdoors knives would work well in the kitchen, too. As far as tactical goes, I assess the tactical abilities of just about every knife I use. BPS has knives that will work in those types of situations, too, even though they are made for camp, or kitchen, work.

I have two BPS blades. Both of mine are 1066. The Adventurer apparently comes in two models, using different alloys. I like both of the blades I have from them. I bought them as blanks and made my own handle scales, as well as my own sheaths.

I keep my dryer lint in a plastic urine sample jar. 🙂Works fine for me. I have several BPS knives including the Varan and the Beta which is nice and compact.

Love this one for bushcraft, slicing grind, sharp spine, a real fire starter especially with the attached fire steel, the sheath is unbelievable for the price 🤩 totally recommend 😎🤙

I've had the adventurer for a few years now. I love it. I can't recommend it enough. I don't believe there is a better knife for the price. Mora are nice and have a place but for a few more dollars. You get a full tang knife. The sheath is worth what the knife cost. I was taught if I get into a survival situation then I've done something wrong. At the worst all I've ever experienced was a night of discomfort. Survival only happens when you're not prepared. Bps are knives are designed to be used not kept in a safe.

I love knife reviews, including non-tactical. I am unfamiliar with BPS. A search shows them made in Ukraine. I have had some Russian knives, and they were good quality, a generalization I know. Do some more bushcraft reviews. Enjoyed this.

I bought the BPS Savage, because every one buys the Adventurer. Not that it isn't a nice knife :) The handles on the BPS Savage, are made from Bog Oak. Really nice wood.

It definitely looks like the heat treat on the Adventurer is much better than the Bushmate. It almost seems like the Bushmate was rushed whereas the Adventurer has been dialed in. The sheath is way more superior.

Excellent review, and chilled video in a great setting! I’m a big fan of the work BPS does. The adventurer was my first, and I will be adding their neck knife later this month. Clumsily cut myself on the sharp spine it’s so edgy!! 😂😂

Another great video review. I really enjoy your videos & content. I have a question on the knife. On BPS website it says the Nighthawk Adventurer is 5Cr14MoV stainless and not 1066. The handle is a Bog Oak with Danish Oil not Walnut. I know the Standard Adventure has a 1066 with a lighter walnut handle and lighter brown sheath. Just wondering if I’m missing something. I like the Nightstalker version. Two Blades WY Up!

It looks like this is the more expensive one. I think I pulled the specs off the brown handle. Sorry about that my friend!

I have never seen a knife spine take damage from a wood baton. I don't think you could possibly damage a knife over 1/16" thick with that small stick you were using. It's a great knife though.

Not sure if that’s not meant as a derogatory comment or not, but it’s an excellent package; sheath, knife, and ferro, and great quality for an exceptional price. Cheap is not a descriptor I would use for it, as it looks, feels, and performs like anything but “cheap”.
@georgewacaser4559
@georgewacaser4559 3 месяца назад
I think the poster is suggesting this BPS blade resembles the "French Trade" style that was favored by the french fur traders from a few hundred years ago. That style of blade was very similar in shape to this BPS, and the "on the cheap" I take as this current offering is priced so as to not break the bank to buy it.

hammer1978, you mentioned Condor. I have a couple of Condor blades as well. I have found they are really pretty darn nice knives. One of them is the Kephart replica. Nice lightweight knife, I used walnut for the handles scales, and made a sturdy sheath for it.

OK!!! THAT'S WHAT I WANTED TO KNOW!! If we've got an actual Ferro Rod in the package, that's a GREAT SIGN!! Most of the knives that I've seen on this channel never get tested on a Ferro Rod. To me, that'll make or break the deal.
