This show was so perfect in the way that it demonstrated how siblings can go after each other. So funny to watch them pick and fight and then come together. Brings back memories... The words I always hated to hear from my sister “Dad, he’s teasing me!” Whether I was doing it or not it, was guaranteed to get me into trouble
@@ochsj1971 💯 and not only _that,_ but at 2:46 when Carol says "Surprise! The girls and I packed this in the car..." *My* question is....How did she & the girls _secretly_ pack the food/picnic basket in a car *with 9 people in it* without the boys noticing? Alice probably already knew about it since it looks like Carol & Marcia brought the picnic basket out of the same tent that Alice had just taken Cindy into, to change her clothes, & Mike was _driving,_ so him not knowing about it makes sense, but nobody _smelled_ the food while it was being packed??? LOL
I love Alice Nelson good ole Alice she always knew how to keep things lively* I think the girls really loved Alice* She’s was really hilarious’ onery and pretty lively* Everyone loves her ‘especially when Marcia Brady and her her both kept diaries*It’s really nice that Jan’ Cindy and Alice helped Marcia make posters for her campaign when she and Greg were both running for student body president in the Brady Bunch Vote For Brady episode *
That bothered me at first, too. But the food was also presented stacked and organized, so it would be just like Mrs. Brady to keep the food in a cooler and then take it out to plate it beautifully in the basket before showing the boys.
LOL watching this episode now on METV and I started laughing when I seen that part because what we all would find out later about Robert Reed. Then i said let me see if anyone put this on RU-vid and sure enough here it is...LOL ...but all jokes aside his personal life was just that his life. Thanks Mr. Reed for giving us a fun TV show rest in piece . And rest in peace to the beautiful Florence Henderson and Ann B.Davis.
Franklin Regional Park, where the opening credits of the Andy Griffith Show was shot. If you look at the early portion of the clip, you can make out a residence on the ridge.
Amazing all that food not being refrigerated. The next day they all wake up sick. They did have Colman coolers back then and plenty if ice! Oh well, its just TV.
Dueville7777 ... if Jesus could feed a crowd of people with a few loaves of bread and fish, surely Alice can whip up something to feed the 9 of them. Haha
I loved this episode especially when the kids went camping for the first time * Good Ole’ Alice always knows how to keep things lively and pretty hilarious* I it’s really hilarious when Marcia and Jan Brady scared the boys! Mike Brady thought is really hilarious especially when the girls started screaming when they scared the boys* Jennydebrier If we’d have any we’d go crazy and keep things lively* Never a dull moment especially with Alice! @@timvandenbrink4461 I guess it could be good in the right places, maybe mid-west, or areas without a ton of mosquitos? Scout camps in the southeast US still use canvas tents on metal frames, but then people are advised to bring some anti-mosquito spray to spray on the insides of the tent.
Those drumsticks looked kinda small. Guess back then the chicken weren’t so pumped full of hormones like today. Greg’s line always cracked me up, “cold cuts, cheese, salami, fried chicken.”
I think pretty much all American women wore wigs around that time. My mom actually had some wigs that she wore back then, and she had plenty of hair. It was the fashion.
He means that you can't experience the full immersion of camping eating that stuff. They need to live off the land..i.e fishing..hunting..foraging..ect.
It's a good one. It's where they all go on their first vacation as one family. The boys wern't thrilled about the girls tagging along on the camping trip. The girls wern't thrilled with the idea with wild animals.
@@SnowyNightFlyer I read that, _too._ ✔ Back then, the networks considered it 'crude' to show a toilet on-camera/on-screen. The first _movie_ to show a toilet (and also allow the 'flush' sound to be heard) was the movie 'Psycho'. The first _TV show_ to show a toilet (and also allow the 'flush' sound to be heard) was 'All In The Family'.
McGannahan Skyjellyfetti Gerg was locked in the attic until Greg moved up there in season 4. After that, he was chained under Alice’s bed. The Brady’s shame.
Seeing the tiny fish, I thought, "A good time for them to all go vegetarian." Someone should tell Peter fish don’t “beg” to be caught. Actually I’d be out of luck even with Carol’s stash, as I’m a vegan. “Dad, no! That’s sissy food!”? Aw go pick some veggies somewhere and live off the land that way.
@@kirkengstrom917 (This is shiroibasketshoes, the same guy, from my other youtube account) Only if it didn't have eggs or milk ingredient; some breads do. I eat Alvarado Street organic salt free wheat bread, but I doubt it existed yet back then. Have a nice day and stay safe.
@@kirkengstrom917 That sounds about right. I went vegan in 1987 but gave up Wonder bread and similar mass produced (and probably not organic) white bread around 1979. I seem to recall my mother bringing home Alvarado Street Bakery bread occasionally in the early 80s.
@@kirkengstrom917 (back to replying from this account): In addition, if the bread shown was part of some sort of meat sandwiches it likely would have affected the bread enough that I'd notice if I took the slices off and tries eating them..
