Bruno56 No kidding! Nobody seems to want to watch that many shows made in the 21st Century AD if at all! The problem is, technology rules the world now, and I have to think of the right way to bring an end to that as I continue to plan to run for president of the United States!
I was thinking about that - the entire middle column is gone. They were the eldest, though. She saw Maureen dance on Dancing with the Stars...and was at the finale just three days before she died! Right up until the very end, she was there for others!
Glockenspiel is always cheerful. Not to mention, there's some "Family Affair" motifs hidden in there. Take a different ride and listen to DeVol's theme to the movie "Guess Who's Coming To Dinner" done just prior.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ubX8IU4MPDs.html
I'm 55 and still like watching the BB. I think it was the house. It was always so clean and the furniture was cool. The cars were great too. It's a very nice diversion from the reality of the way life is today 2022. I miss the 70's. A lot.
I am my friend 👋😊!!! I even bought a Brady Bunch calendar from Wal-Mart a few years ago!!! And I still have it. " Pork chops and apple sauce" remember when Peter Brady said that on the Brady Bunch? And I remember when Robert Reed was in a sequel of "Roots" he played a slave master!!! I later found out he was gay!!!! Damn!! Ain't that a bitch? Take care of yourself and your family during this coronovirus pandemic ok? Much love from Bunn NC 👋💖.
"the Brady Bunch" was a great Friday night treat in my house growing up, when it first aired on ABC. We watched The Brady Bunch, The Odd Couple, Room 222, and Love, American Style--all Friday night staples on ABC back then. I forget the other show ABC had on in that lineup. I still love The Brady Bunch now.
I remember watching this show in the early 80s. It would come on every afternoon right when I got home from school. I had such a crush on Peter and Jan, I'll never forget it!
1:46 Don't ask why, but ever since I first started watching this show (about a decade ago), I've always found this horn intro hilarious. Just how sudden and awkward it is, as if they really needed a transition into the kids singing, mixed with Carol's huge grin that makes it seem more clumsy and comical.
For the show's first season (1969-1970), the theme song was performed by The Peppermint Trolley Company. Starting in Season 2 (1970-1971), and ran until the end of the series in 1974, the theme song was performed by The Brady Bunch Kids, courtesy of Paramount Records.
The interior of the "Brady Bunch house" in Studio City looks nothing like what you see on the show because the only part of that house you see on the show is the outside, and only as what's called an "establishing shot." The "interior" shots you see on the show are actually sets inside a Paramount soundstage down in Hollywood. A couple of items of note: the driveway of the real house in Studio City is on the right as you're looking at the house from the street (as opposed to on the left in the show), and as has been noted by others over the years, the Studio City house is only a _single story house_, whereas the "Brady Bunch" living room set has a very prominent *staircase*.
I still watch it. I remember watching this show on Nick at Nite which was nice. I was just watching the show this morning actually, and I can’t get enough of it. If only TV was like this today
I really think The Brady Bunch had the best song / intro combination of any show. The song sets up the premise and the video is brilliantly simple yet effective. I wonder if they only added Alice to fill that middle Brady square.
@@lolitajones859 I think The Facts of Life had the best theme, but The Brady Bunch was the best with being catchy and setting up the premise of the show. The Jeffersons was another good one in that way because it is also catch and sets up the premise if the show. I just think BB did it a little better, it even has charscter names.
Ah!!! As an Asperger's kid who obsessed over the Brady Bunch (I recorded every episode on audio cassette in the 1970s off the TV), I can't believe what you've done here! Beautiful! Even the Paramount TV tags at the end. So perfect!! I will "stim" off this all night. Takes me back!! Thanks so much. You're making lives better here. :)
🎉 retro greetings from coastal Mississippi. I love the Brady Bunch from 1969 to 1999. A Brady type show in every decade. Oh yes, 2020's with the Brady House. ❤ I designed my house into a Brady House🎉
Here’s a story of a playboy genius who was gearing up to form some sort of crew. One’s a former Russian spy. A god of thunder. One fought in world war two. It’s the story of a handsome Star Lord, like the greatest to ever walk the earth (by far) And a falcon, a magic doctor, Wakanda forever. So then one day all the heroes would assemble To fight a villain who packed much more than a punch. And this group was labeled "The Avengers". That’s the way we all became The Marvel Bunch, The Marvel Bunch The Marvel Bunch. That’s the way we became The Marvel Bunch. Hello, brother. Shut up!
Sad to say, Carly, it is the same with many of our favorite pop and rock musicians that were famous back in the 1950s, '60s and early '70s. I do know Florence was alive long enough to appear in the music video for Mark Ronson's "Feel Right," which sounds awfully similar to James Brown's 1970 hit "Get Up (I Feel Like Being a) Sex Machine."
My aunt was in high school when this show was on! 1968-1970! My mom was also in high school when this show was on! 1971-1973! my other aunt was growing up when this show was on! she was 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 years old!
I remember hearing about this show on The Amanda Show on Nickelodeon where they did a parody of The Brady Bunch. It was a decade ago when I saw that and since then, I got interested and checked the show out. I love this show almost as much as I love Full House. RIP Robert Reed, Florence Henderson and Ann B. Davis.
Robert Reed, Florence and Ann B Davis lives on in our hearts their memories of the show will never be forgotten as long as franchise keep their memory alive.🌈🌟💖
I'm here because this was in my recommended and I knew it was because of the marvel bunch..I'm glad people are seeing where it's from cuz I love the brady bunch 😁
Growing up Puerto Rican in Brockton Mass I love watching after school The Brady bunch Dukes of Hazzard, mork & Mindy Beretta, starsky and Hutch, chips, SWAT and Little House on the prairie and so many great other sitcoms from those days TV shows that could never be matched by today's TV shows that are all garbage especially when reality TV started that's when I stopped watching TV oh God I can't believe I almost forgot Happy Days 👍
It always reminds me of the center square from The Hollywood Squares (Florence Henderson herself often appeared on this game show). I could imagine Paul Lynde starring in this sitcom and appearing in the center box.
These guys are the best! Love them all. May the 3 that passed away R.I.P. This program was unique in its time, has been, and I think always will. The innocence of the Brady Bunch was what makes it unique from other later sit- coms.
K Moore Robert Reed and Dick Sargent were both gay playing straight men! Both Florence and Elizabeth knew this when they did their shows. Now, all four are gone!! TV Land is turning into a cemetery!!
It’s sad how some ppl JUST found out the Brady bunch were a thing RIGHT after the avengers did it..... I watched this show when I was a frickin toddler. Needless to say. It was the first/best sitcom I ever watched😂🙌🏼 Y’all lived a sad childhood If you didn’t see this growing up.
This is such a classic. I'm sad that the classics like I Love Lucy, The Brady Bunch, and a ton of other shows are being forgotten because of the new media nowadays
The first Brady bunch theme song was none other than The Peppermint Trolley Company playing and singing! Definitely the best version of the song and for more of the same check out their 1968 self titled album. It’s chock full of Beach boys/left banke like melodies and vocal harmonies that are so spot on and pristine. Stunning
The first season end credits shows the Brady's faces looking straight ahead because the footage is being run forward and reverse in a loop, the other seasons they looking up and down.
Seasons 3,4 and 5 is all I’ve ever known 😮 whats crazy is I never knew there were different theme songs and all these years later I can’t distinguish which one I grew up hearing the most I think it was 5
I remember in our house we always had an argument on Friday nights because my brother and me always wanted to watch SANFORD & SON while the younger kids wanted to watch THE BRADY BUNCH. Since my brother mostly went out on Friday nights; THE BRADY BUNCH won out most of the time. Then it was canceled so that ended that argument! LOL
Friday nights watching ABC shows back then were a real treat: The Brady Bunch, The Partridge Family, The Odd Couple, Room 222, and Love, American Style. I lived it and loved it.
I think he was the only one that didn't sing on the title track, simply because he couldn't sing. He later did when his voice was changing. "When It's Time To Change"...
I remember back when this show started in 1969 I thought they said in the theme "Here's the story of Adam Brady" and I used to wonder why they said that when his characters name was Mike.
You think that's funny....every time I heard Queen sing "we will rock you" I mistakenly thought the "big disgrace" part said "big disc brakes" and I sang it that way for years!....lol
There's something about the Brady Bunch that I really enjoy. Even if there's a bad episode, I still enjoy it. Probably because I get absorbed into the characters' situations.
Fun fact: all three daughters were recast at one point in later Brady Bunch series. Geri Reischel played "Fake Jan" in the Brady Bunch Variety Show, Jennifer Runyon played Cindy in A Very Brady Christmas, and Leah Ayres played Marcia in The Bradys.
