The Brat keeps it to a dull roar for the dance crowd at Madame Wong's West, Santa Monica. With a celebrity or two in the house. #goldiehawn #kurtrussell
why?! Why am I learning about this genius band 40 years late? What a travesty that they didn’t find the success that they deserved at the time. Amazing lyrics, amazing vocals, and amazing music. I’m so sad thinking of what could have been had they gotten the publicity that they deserved
This band is brilliant! Just stumbled on them last night on youtube and straight to buy the album with NO delay! I'm from the U.K and can remember when punk was everywhere as a kid in the late 70's - Sham 69 and Pistols graffiti all over my block and i grew up on a multi racial housing estate in the innercity and there were asian and black punks then too - Reggae, Two Tone and Punk were the main sounds then. it was amazing looking back. Anyway fantastic music! 🎸🙏🏾
I was luck enough to see The Brat this same year in SF on a bill that included new band R.E.M. and Lords of the New Church. It was a great and memorable show and I got the EP and more recently cd collection and am still listening 40 years (is that possible?) later.
i'm just discovering them and it feels like music i've loved all my life. mannnn I wish I was around those easlos backyard parties back in the day to see them play there.
