They want their real friends, because real friends would never do that because I was just selfish and everything else they didn’t care how they felt or happy they were
I love how Troy's friends do everything to get him to stop doing drama with Gabriella but when they realized that major mistake they made cuz he actually had feelings for her real feelings and the guy was heartbroken and literally crying tears they realized they made a gigantic a selfish one at that!
Yeah, I’m her thinking how selfish their friends were because if you were really their friend, you would sit there and want to be happy. Even if you don’t agree with him you sit there and try to understand we can do what you wanna do just because you want to win
Because the whole point of the first movie is to not have to “stick to the status quo” and they have to make THAT mistake in order to realize what they were doing was wrong duh
No she wasn’t. She was trying to go along with chad’s plan to help Troy and Gabriella stay focused on their teams and forget about the callbacks. They weren’t being very supportive.
we are villains in someone else's story if we expect ourselves to be the good guy in everyone's lives then we will be dissapointed and the person to blame is ourselves for expecting it to happen
The difference is that Taylor and Chad messed up one time and they both apologized to Troy and Gabriella. Sharpay never apologized for anything she did, and she kept sabotaging Troy and Gabriella in every movie

Yes, because they were selfish they only thought about themselves and about winning their own thing like Gabriella didn’t they wanna be on that team at all anti-Taylor kept putting in her face was so selfish because she wanted a new start a fresh start she wanted to be recognized for something else instead of understanding that she said they were being selfish worried about winning that’s not caring about them and on top of that you know the Troy said in the movie he could’ve done both and yes he could do both and they prove they could do both. It wasn’t a distraction. Some people are a couple of doing two things that happened before but instead of putting trust and then they said they are you know Judge Them.
but hey they redeem themselves the wildcats troy Gabriella and jack bolton are no where close to being perfect but they always find ways to improve themselves not as friends and as people so glad they did it in the entire high school musical franchise alot of life lessons taught

My niece absolutely loves this movie, and quite frankly, so many questions run through my head when I watch a little snippet when it's on. One of these questions is how can Zac Efron's character not see the other lads flip up a massive, very visible webcam, pointing the lense at him in particular. It's not as if they're clever with it, it's not as if they switched it on before he came into the room, and Zac is literally looking straight at them as they're switching it on. I'm sorry, but I cannot be the only one who thinks that one 15 year old not noticing his mates adjusting a webcam to point straight at him is absolutely impossible. It's funny to note, but it's just impossible.
When I watch things I tend to just buy into the narrative it's trying to sell. I've never understood how people get fixated over little "real world" inconsistencies in fictional media. It's not an issue but I'll personally never understand it cause I can't remember ever noticing things like that distract from a show or film.
@@burni988 That's fair, I mean. There are quite a few moments in this movie that are questionable to me. Why is Miss Darbus so soft on Gabriella and Troy? They show up late to her auditions twice. Why doesn't Sharpay see Gabriella in the bathroom when she comes in ready to fight her when she hears her singing? Why is Chad so upset with Zeke over cooking? I'd ask him for some biscuits in all honesty. When Gabriella sings her big solo song, where was the janitor or the hall monitors. I'd be raging if I were the janitor, her doing theatrics all over my nice clean floor.
@@AsAriMoon Yes, and I believe the same goes for when Sharpay tries to fight or confront Gabriella but can't find her in the girls bathroom despite the fact that she was only hiding against a bloody wall.
I mean, the whole movie is a humongous suspension of disbelief, where the whole debacle is that you can't have more than one hobby in your life. Troy misses one training session because he can't organize his schedule well, and then his team decide the best is to separate him from a potential girlfriend, then later in the movie he is able to go to training and still rehearse with Gabriella. So why the fuck wasn't he able to do that before if it was totally possible??? The main conflict is essentially a non-conflict that exists simply because the movie needs a low point for the main characters.
I’m 27 this popped up and I’m thinking to watch it again. It’s weird ain’t it lol. I’m old for this… but it brings me so much nostalgia 🥲life was simpler back then
Bitter experiences drove the happy couple apart for a bit: Troy’s friends pressured Troy in saying mean things about Gabriella and was unaware that she heard him due to Taylor and the rest recording the video. It was the actions of Chad, Taylor and the rest that almost ruined the relationship between Troy and Gabriella permanently if it wasn’t for the rest having a realization that they messed up big time.
Troy has to be careful cause he tends to lean into pressure a lot that can negatively affect himself and others if not resolved carefully. Even though, the whole thing was Chad and Taylor’s fault.

In the first hsm movie Troy and Gabriella's relationship looked so solid but the reason they broke things up were cuz of their friends. Chad wanted Troy to focus on basketball instead of singing with Gabriella and Taylor wanted Gabriella on her Scholastics team. In the second movie Troy and Gabriella broke-up cuz Sharpay stealing Troy from Gabriella bribing him with a scholarship from Troy's dream college and keeping Troy to herself, and in the third movie Troy and Gabriella broke-up again cuz Gabriella had to move away cuz the college she was planning to attend to wasn't in Albuquerque.
It was complicated at times cause they both loved each other, but Gabriella struggles with change at times and sometimes their friends can be insensitive that messed up the relationship especially in the first film
I think Monique and Chad did the right thing breaking up Gabriella and Troy because they should’ve stayed broken up and Gabriella could’ve started her and Ryan’s relationship because it totally makes sense to have Ryan and Gabriella together as girlfriend and boyfriend I wish Gabriella and Ryan are the star couple of high school musical movies I love high school musical 2 the best
That’s the same thing for me twice yeah my childhood best friend and High School girlfriend too both of them broke mines but my 2nd High School GF broke my heart too so that was something right
Troy, why would you say that on camera . When Troy “ I’m on the team. I’ve always been for teams, she’s just someone I met. All right the singing thing is nothing probably just a way to keep my nerves down. I don’t know it means nothing to me. You’re my guys and this is our team. Gabriella is not important. I’ll forget about her, I’ll forget the audition and we’ll go out and win that championship” you guys happy now. I agree with Gabriella, when she said to him that he sounded pretty convincing. Also in my opinion, what he said on the live camera. Was a little hurtful and sounded a little hurtful. Too the point where she avoided him. And all he had to do was climb up a tree to get to her window. She turned around and then he apologized Though, it came with an explanation as well, which I’d give a job well done. 👍 It fixed things between him and Gabriella , and I think she felt better and forgave him. Especially after I think 2 days or a while of her avoiding him. And Troy probably feeling so down he asked his dad for advice, without saying advice about something. Sort of told his dad what the situation was and got really good advice. The advice Troy’s dad gave is advice I would use. It’s a valuable lesson and advice. Before, Troy you made Gabriella upset and then at her locker she paraphrase the conversation to let him know that she understood the situation and how possibly felt based on what she heard. Even what she probably didn’t know is that she’ll walk away while he’s confused (🤔) Through I’d be like that as well.
