That is so untrue. Compared to Latin & Pacific island culture, sure because they are VERY family oriented. But white men, Asian men, and some (probably most) Muslim cultures prioritize themselves over women. Especially with the older generation, they don't give a damn about any other gender or culture. There is a divide within our community but compared to others it's really not that damn bad ans every decade we get closer to remediating that divide

I was going to say the same thing. We as black men can't be mad that our women had to be strong and independent a lot of times because the men in their lives made choices that took them away from raising their children. My mother raised 5 of us and was an amazingly strong woman who fought to get away from an abusive husband. How can anyone complain that strong independent empowered black women are being raised. Just say that's not your thing because you can't handle it. I married a strong black woman because I like an equal with me, and we've done some great things together Stop complaining and get on the same page.

Its not surprising that jess wouldn't care if her child like the person jess is dating, jess has shown us time and time again that her focus is popping out this second child so she can get back to drinking, partying and smoking weed. Jess doesn't prioritize staying inside and being a mother to her kids and spending quality time etc with them. She's counting down the minutes and seconds until she can get back out in these streets. sorry you're father walked away, your mother was right to teach you GOD is your father (ps27:14). As far as to answer your question, this system has been put in place since the 1600's. Ever get the chance, read the "Willie Lynch Letter". Now without many black men who are a product of this curse, may not understand how things have been put in place to remove them out the homes, so they may make a choice, that causes them to be remove or some choose due to the pressures or just not properly understanding the importance of their role. Black men numbers of absentness, increase majorly in the 70's, veterans didn't get proper help, factories were closed down in major black cities and the drugs & incarceration hit the black community, don't get me wrong, there are some just may be dead beats, but its bigger than what we think. We are stronger as a family unit.

The interviewer asked what Columbus thoughts were on the emasculation of men in the clip (so im just going off that), but Columbus made it about black women and that was very telling. There was also a lot of anger in his tone when he was explaining what he meant and it's like just say "I don't like black women." Don't insult and try to put all black women down because you hate yourself.

@@ILL_WILL912 that would bee highly unlikely because I'm actually competent and proficient in the role I am hired to do. The same CANNOT be said for jess. Claudia Jordan would have been a much better fit for the role
