The great Kim and Kelly Deal! Those were the days! Straight up raw melody. Can’t imagine a world without the Deal sisters. Can’t imagine why black francis wouldn’t want an asset like her in the Pixies. Sad
@@victordaraban4695 VCR tapes degrade over time so yah that's a thing. VCR tapes actually sounded pretty good, when new, on a Hi-Fi VCR system with a great stereo. I had a 4.1 system and it sounded awesome, you could feel the action in your chest from the loud bass.
What a great song, I love it! I put it into my "Shellshocked Radio - Recommendations" List: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-E8RxSHEPi0g.html Very well done!
@@psychedelicfright85 Well, but this one surely is among the best? In my book for sure. Spontaneously, these others come to my mind. Personal taste, a lot too unknown to qualify as "iconic". i was lost in life now i found myself i know who i am i searched for this song for 20 years and now i found it was a milestone in my history. I'm Brazilian but I'm in America and I'm going to fight for my dreams
Kim Deal was bassist for the Pixies which was a HUGE influence on Nirvana's sound, Kurt Cobain said so. Just listen to this: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-I_aBmrYChfQ.html
I love this band!!!! I've always had a crush on the deal sisters. I just downloaded a bunch of demos and live shows, about a dozen in total. Can't get enough of 'em. Amazing.
@@joeyrogerson83 It was Mark Freegard. If you're into it and curious about the recording have a listen the album while watching this replay of a Twitter exchange that happened a few weeks back. All of the band and the engineer are there and there's some cool stories about they got some of those sounds (put on the album and press play on this page and you get synced commentary): timstwitterlisteningparty.com/pages/replay/feed_81.html
VHS Hi-Fi was actually on of the best analog recording media, quality comparable to reel2reel tapes. Unfortunately this ain't HIFI VHS 🙄😉 I had one of the best HiFi VHS recorders, Panasonic NV-F65, have a lot of music on tapes. Unfortunately the power transformer is busted and it doesnt work, dunno if I can find the spare part, but even if I could it's obsolete today 😁😉
OMG!!!!!! I was sooooooooo in love with Jon Stewart!!!! Hahhahaaaa! I would stay up late to watch him and be dying in home room the next morning! I think I remember watching this show. Wow, thanks for uploading such great music and memories!
Actually I Was There....played in bands from 79 through 93....BELIEVE me the 90's were irritating as F%&K! the 80's is where you MEAN you'd kill to go! The freakin 90's KILLED A REALLY GOOD TIME dude!!! It's NEVER been the same since!
I would to. Id kill myself if it meant id wake up back in the 90s. lol imagine that. When we die we simply wake up in an alternate reality with no memory of this shit life.
That Les Paul is beautiful. I wish it was left handed and standing up right in my room begging me to put my strat down and play the one true guitar to bring balance to the force.
Concert Date July 09, 1994 Venue Fiddler's Green Amphitheatre 6350 Greenwood Plaza Blvd Greenwood Village, CO, United States Tickets $27.50 Doors Open 1:00 pm I broke my ribs in the Mosh Pit.... American alternative rock band based in Dayton, Ohio, consisting of members Kim Deal (rhythm guitar, lead vocals), her twin sister Kelley Deal (lead guitar, backing vocals), Josephine Wiggs (bass guitar, backing vocals) and Jim Macpherson (drums).
This day he had the Breeders and the very next day he had In Living Color....... Those are too extremely underrated intelligent bands and the Jon Stewart show was an extremely underrated intelligent show. TV producers aren't stupid all the sudden, they've always been stupid
