For reals. I know many musicians can also do that but noticeably Katie Crutchfield of Waxahatchee can mine melodies from simple chord progressions, as well. It's amazing.
Saw a thread, where someone claimed they "hated the tambo-guy". Really, of all the possible things/folks to hate, you single out Joel? why? LoL..Must have a LONG hate list!
@@jasonblack5920 Haha, we swedes are the same - beyonce was extremely disapointed at the swedish fans for not going crazy, screaming, crying and faint, but we do it inside instead. When i met Mark Lanegan i almost fainted but i just stood still there, loll.
When you first wrote this comment I’d never listened to this band. And over the last few years they’ve become that for me too. This is the best music I’ve ever had the pleasure of encountering.
Miss Katy totally delivers the right vibe here...And having read some of the uncharitable comments below I'd say - she takes about 2 lines to get into the groove (with no warm-up) and delivers a languid and beautiful rendition... Anton's shrug at the end was like "Hey - guys - how cool is my wife..!" He had his back to her throughout the song as he was taking a well-earned break from the mike, and was jamming with his buddies and he knew she had it. Ms Katy nails it....
i have been sick for years ,and then i found God ,i no longer live on the streets ,i no longer feel sick after 4 hours and have to self medicate , jesus took all the pain and sorrow away and told me how to live ,amen ,great song used to dance to this in strip clubs ,
@@brianandlindafairchild1237 The thing about drugs is you get dope sick every 6 hours and have to have that fix before you start to become sick ,that does not happen any more with God on my side and guys in recovery ,have a nice day Linda ,stay safe and take care ,stay strong
Liquifactionable cause that's the spirit of stuff like this. doesn't matter the way you play, you sing or whatever. what really matters, my friend, is the pure wave of sound, the idea of sound. and my god, i love it
To those who said they made mistakes: 1) Who told you that they have not deliberately changed the song and made "mistakes" 2) A mistake made by a good artist is more interesting than a correct thing made by a mediocre artist ... because inside his "mistake" you find other true art. 3) If you don't want to find "mistakes", put the cd in your player, don't go to live shows and don't comment live on you tube. Usually those who find mistakes in concerts are people who know how to play and have cover bands or tribute bands and they close themselves in their bedroom and after playing a song 1000 times, they are able to imitate a song to perfection. This is a nice thing but it has a lower value than the free interpretation of a piece or to create a new song . I don't know how to play any instrument ... but since I was a kid turning freely on the radio I discovered for myself, people like Jimi Hendrix ... or George Gershwin and many others ... without knowing that they were great.
I was trying to understand what is it about her voice that makes it so unbelievable, and I think it is her ability to bend her voice across the spectrum of pitch in an absolutely perfect curve. unbelievable
@@WingsWithFeet You don't understand what you're hearing. You're comparing her to just any old singer. She's doing that languid, bending the pitch sound on purpose, for effect. It's really brilliant, most people couldn't do it if they tried, don't have the talent.
Matt Lechner Yes, a perfect way of describing it. People who think she isn't trying or isn't good enough aren't getting the talent she has. It's not easy to sing like that, especially with any volume - and they don't have her mic'ed loud enough, especially in the beginning. The loud guitars are drowning her out. I think they turned her up some toward the middle of it.
I love her beyond-her-years voice with her slouched, laid-back croon. She is worthy of being the Mrs. to Anton. And if she is Welsh, I like her all the more. This is my favorite version of this song and yup it is cute seeing Anton shy-ish.. he does not even watch her while playing. She is standing where he normally does. Hmm. Interesting.
I I think i know how i feel Cause i I only play it for-real You should be picking me up Instead you're dragging me down You're flying over my head You're landing all over town You You know that i try Try to tell you the truth Oh baby don't make me cry You should be picking me up Instead you're dragging me down Now i'm missing you more Cause baby you're not around Now that you're not around I I want to know how it feels Cause i I only play it for-real You should be picking me up Instead you're dragging me down I could be giving you love But you're not around Now that you're not around Now that you're not around Glad that you're not around Now that you're not around Now that you're not around Now that you're not around Now that you're not around Now that you're not around Now that you're not around Now that you're not around Now that you're not around Now that you're not around (Now that you're not around)
Not as much smashing pumpkins not that I don't like them I just have bands I'd put above mainly another MJK A Perfect Circle and rip Layne Staleys Alice in Chains!
great song, great looking girl ,the band is awesome ,as good as any band i've seen, and i've seen them all (almost) ..Anton is the real thing...i'm 58 yrs old , and just discovered BJM 6 months ago, it was like finding a diamond in an old coat . thank you, anton, joel, matt and everybody in BJM
Well it's been 12 years, nevertheless I want to say that this is going to be my first approach to that band because someone sort of recommended them to me. Looking for more great bands and music too
I'm in your mind fuzz is awesome as well as flying microtonal banana ... I also love the tracks Gaia, Iron lung and the dripping tap e.g. really getting into this band! @Pierre K
People give the the tambourine 'player' a lot of grief. So you know; and I cannot explain it either- he is literally stealing the show and nearly makes the whole song.
i dont know why public is so static, this song would make dead donkey with broken legs to dance... this song is one of those that i dont mind if hour long...
Yeah.. I wish to see Tame Impala and The Brian Jonestown massacre. I will see Tame Impala this April :X. Hopefully BJM very soon !! Btw I shall expect some cool video from u for the show yeah 😄
