you do need to bear in mind boxer is essentially an armoured taxi no better in role than a BTR. It doesnt need crazy weapons and AT tech. If you face a tank in this kind of vehicle you messed up big time

Ajax is the replacement for warrior not the boxer.

@@eraldorh Ajax is the replacement for some of the CVT vehicles, others are not being replaced Ajax is a tracked reconnaissance vehicle, The warrior is an IFV. The IFV variant of the boxer is currently not a Uk option. There is no replacement for the Warrior. The Boxer will be an APC, essentially a taxi.

@@eraldorh the closest Ajax to the warrior is the Ares, which is an APC , armoured personnel carrier carrier, the Boxer comes in 4 variants, an APC, a specialist carrier, a command post and an ambulance. The warrior is/was an IFV, infantry fighting vehicle, there is no direct replacement. NB there is a planed 93 Ares, there were over 700 Warriors. The original plan was for the Ajax, Boxer, and refurbished Warriors, with the new 40mm gun, and major systems upgrades, I think some 400 were planned to be upgraded, all of the development work was completed, and the project was about to be signed off for production, when the project was scrapped, after some £1.5 billion spent on the project. Guess bean counters again.’ By the way there was the big announcement of the Challenger 3 upgrade, great news? Maybe, in the small print it also say a further 79 tanks are being ‘retired’ a reduction of over a third.

The whole program was cancelled, just as it was to be signed off, and £1.5 billion spent. As before there will be no direct replacement for the warrior. There is an IFV variant of the boxer, but not ordered by the British Army.

​​@@bradleycurtis4703Ajax is not replacing warrior. Ajax is an armoured reconnaissance vehicle and warrior is an infantry fighting vehicle. They are made for different roles, Ajax will replace the cvrt scimitar. Hopefully warrior will get an upgrade, it needs a self stabilising gun turret.

You and this tracked boxer the mod is going ahead with ajax according to them problems are solved so its ajax and boxer wheeled vehicles the fv432 is still good with better engine and speed with remote station it also makes a very good mortor carrier as well😊😊

@jammiedodger7040 They will make boxer the ifv they can put modules on it armed with missiles and cannon there's nothing wrong with warrior all it needed was an upgrade with a stabilisation gun you can even put atgm on the turret and an APS if you wish having said that the cv 90 is still the better option it has all these on it and has sold well nobody much bought the cv80 it never had a stabilisation gun all for cheapness they run the military on the cheap 🤔

@jammiedodger7040 The cv 90 has been upgraded in fact there's a whole family of vehicles including a 120mm light tank the tracked boxer uk will not adopt so its boxer and ajax like itbor lump that's what they deploying ajax is good if if works well .😊😊

Air drop??? lol. First of all you can only do that if YOU are ruling and have total control over the sky. Secondly you can not use air drops everywhere and how should your troops move on the ground, in particular if you have large numbers of troops??? By foot??? You need armored infantry troop carriers and that will never change.
