This is a let's play series of Shadows of Forbidden Gods. We're playing version 1.1 with the god Broken Maker.
Shadows of Forbidden Gods is a turn based strategy game where we take on the role of an Elder God that is awakening in a fantasy world. We try to spread out dark influence over the world while the heroes of the world - led by the Chosen One - try to prevent us from rising.
The game is developed by Bobby Two Hands and published by Forbidden Oak Games Limited.

They did eventually raze your temple and you did have a *very* strong (2 turns!) Agent on the job so maybe the balance just wants a small tweak to how fast it produces Menace (or is just fine really as a thing you can do if you put the work in to Influence the religion enough)

I don't think that Dark Worship is unbalanced or anything really. I think it's a really good thing to get for a religion, but usually I only manage to get it to the witches and then they get razed really quickly and then I need to make them spread their religion and build temples and probably give them money to get them to do those things before they can keep on worshiping. So the work spent on getting it to work could really be spent on other things as well.

Dunno if Orc Fortresses survive the Sleep but I'd have tried to spend that pile of money on them.

I think they do and I probably should've done that. Or at least try to make them expand as much as possible. But sometimes when trying new things, one doesn't always think everything through.

It was a bit marginal given his P&M but he turned out to be tough enough to take the heroes coming his way. I'm heavily influenced by having had a Warlord desperately scrounging around for money to build Forts before.@@UncleCarpsGamingCorner

Why are you desecrating the Holy Sites? I know it's needed for getting Baroness out and it's certainly useful where Shadow is growing/contested but when it's 100% and surrounded by 100% what does it do for you? Does it propagate shadow like Dark Worship?

I have always assumed that it does spread the shadow through other places very much like Dark Worship.

To any one reading, desecrated holy sites allow you to perform a ritual that generates god power and death modifier % in V1.1 so having multiple protected unholy sites let's you spam god abilities.
