Hello world! I'm Uncle Carp and this is my Gaming Corner.
This is a let's play channel focused on games that I like. Mostly that means strategy games of different types, but I am not limiting myself to any particular genre. A good game is a good game. Most of the games I play are also more from the indie side of gaming world, because I usually find them to be more interesting than the bigger titles on the market.
All comments are welcome. Especially constructive criticism.

Btw you were getting the +3 for the Specialist: Human. It was just not showing it in the mouseover on the right, but if you looked at the current action, it was showing +8 not +5
Also, if you want to stop them from messing with the deep ones, and have Blood Magic, creating a bunch of taunting lures is a good way to do that. It distracts them, takes up their time, and generates personal items to use for other spells
Poor Douglas. He gets called up to look into some upstart talking about things that might be dangerous and he ends up stuck observing some nobody working a barely above subsistence manual job and maybe reading a few obscure books.
I recently picked up this game, and was really glad to find someone covering it. I’m working my way through the entire playlist. Have you had a chance to try the DLC yet?
Just FYI, the dev has decided to keep the game as a development build to make it easier for modders to debug their mods, as well as to not break compatibility with older mods.
Nice playthrough. Its interesting that the hero you turned into a drone caused some scandal between his family and another by destroying a village through harvest.
Idk if you'll read this at this point. But was there a reason that weren't raiding farms or something to spread famine for the gift acceptance? It seems like the trade is pretty good, especially if like the golden flowers they can use them more than once.
The timing of this comment is pretty serendipitous. I think I finished recording the newest episode a little bit before this comment was made. I'm trying to get back to publishing videos daily, but my mental health isn't the greatest at the moment, so we'll just have to see how things go.
I think the developer just wasn't pleased with the way he had implemented the mechanic into the game. It would've been nice if they had stayed as an option, but what can you do...
I totally agree with you on the pronoun thing. More troubles than their worth, especially when you could spend all that time corrupting the world of light!
The purpose of Mob Rioting is generally to make the situation worse not to save the ruler. It's just going to trigger again from the devastation causing unrest to rise. IF you want to preserve the city you need to execute the ruler -unless you have something finishing there soon. Generally the heir will quickly gain any shadow/insanity that the ruler had

I got to the Sleep and dropping a bunch of Caches did not help me -I suspect I won't play it much further though -maybe I'll call up a Daughter and just lay waste to everything 9:05 You have such problems. Only 150% victory! 13:50 if you pop those Deep One cults then you can't use them to put Calling on more Houses -after a few rulers descend into the deeps you're likely to get someone from another family you can Call at the same location. My game has an absurd number of fish-heroes running around 15:05 I think it made her like/love the deep ones
Bob can start in Seats of Holy Orders and Cities with Temples -both count as Holy Sites. 31:10 You can start your own Malign Catches at any infiltrated Docks before turning them into Cults. No need to traipse across the world looking for existing catches 38:30 You're getting so much power because at least one of the Mad Cities is giving you an extra Power every 10 turns (you also got one when the Seal broke)
I did not know that about Holy Sites. That is very useful information for the future. Also, I'm traipsing across the world for the already existing Malign Catches, because they should already have some madness going on and that's something that can help with Deep One Cult.
