Thanks mate it was brilliant to get another day of sunshine 🌞 topped it off, and the views just stunning just love kintail loads of mountains all close together, that cairn is impressive just sitting on the ridge we took the chance with the drone as the wind was getting up but glad I did got some great footage. Frank think everyone was out that day the one good day 😅 love kintail Frank the walks are brilliant and so many mountains in the one area the views were top Drawer me and Brian had a nig grin on our faces all the way until that decent was on my arse about 5 time well gave Brian a laugh. Atb Ally 👍

Thanks David got a cracking day and the views as always in Kintail never fail , this is possibly my favourite area for walking so many mountains love going there. The first bit up from the car park just goes straight up but gain hight quickly so always a positive from then on its not to bad till the last bit quite steep and boggy on the way down. Atb Ally 👍👍

Thanks Andrew brilliant day wee got fantastic views but i was the opposite i got drenched on the glen shiel ridge and seen nothing all day 7 tops and not a view 😒just means i need to go back some time said to brian and paul would love to do it again with a summit camp on one of the tops a bangers adventure😂 . Hi Alan thanks again mate we got a cracker of a day not often I say that about the weather 😀 but it's my favourite place for walking the Mountains are stunning . I use power director great software yearly subscription but well worth it took a bit of getting used to but if you have used other software it's shouldn't be to bad, I struggle on every video how to edit it then I just seem to Steam on ahead never plan it just edit as it comes. Hi Chris I use the gpx files from walk Highlands most of them a pretty accurate you can down load them from there website, I then sync it to my garmin through the app so have a copy on the phone aswell as a back up but the battery in the garmin last very well I don't think I have fallen below half a battery at any point plus it's usb for charging .Atb Ally 👍 👍

@@Allysmountainwalks6462 ah so it’s just the default free maps that come with the Garmin ? I see you can buy Garmin TOPO 1:25K or 1:50k . Never owned a gps before so trying to do some research before buying

@MrItsChris I haven't really used the garmin maps Chris don't think there really for the off road trips if you go on to walkhighlands.co.uk and type in the mountain you are looking to hike you can download the gpx file this can be opened in the garmin Explore app that would be installed on your phone when you get the garmin you can alter if you want in this app then you us bluetooth from your phone and the garmin gps to sync them together it took me a bit of time to master it but now it's no problem. @@Allysmountainwalks6462 Thanks! I was considering getting the Garmin GPSMAP 67i since it's currently on sale for £490, but then I saw that additional maps can cost another £150-300. I wasn't sure if they were necessary, but it seems like they’re not ☺️ First time ever really looking into this type of thing I’ve just been using AllTrails on my phone
