Mr Brown you made a very sound contribution. The bible says All things are lawful but not thing is not expedient. It might be lawful to do dreadlocks but it's not important because of the congregation that might not have grown spiritually to handle it.
Pst. Jimmy addressed this issue in an interview and he is of the opinion that the Bible is not specific. But l could infer that the dreads and acting would give way. Let's pray for him .
@@osimosundolapo5418 You are absolutely correct that the bible never talked about it. Every part of the world has their own peculiarities and cultural norms which the bible never condemned. Apostle Paul even said to Romans I became a Roman. Sometimes it's not the correctness of our actions but the consequence of it on others who see us as example worthy of emulation. We must not create an image that will always require less clarification and explaination.

I agree with you that he needs time to assume into the new role, the anointing, authority and expectations that come with it since he had jejely planned his own life before but now has to halt so many of his personal dreams because Pastor T his father passed on unplanned. We will continue to hold him in prayers. I agree that he should (well, out of his own conviction) remove the dreadlocks, earring and anything that will cause the focus to be on him and not what he preaches. He has been a youth pastor before Pastor passed but now, he is pastoring the whole membership of the church which includes youth, children, young adults, elderly as well as industries’ movers and shakers, hmmnnn a big shoe indeed!. May Almighty help him and Pastor always made it clear it is the church of the Holy Ghost so we rest as God helps him.

Is Jimmy not some sort of soft porn actor (promotes lust and fornication/adultery in all his movies how can he serve the the spirit of lust and be a GO)? The new testament is against such hairstyle (effeminate in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10) and please don't get me started on tattoos (mostly before repentance) - The fact that it is done in America doesn't make it right (hence why so much decadence in that society). The church should really do better - this is so poor. I think he should have been allowed to grow into the General overseer's office gradually instead of the immediate installation. I think putting him there as a resident pastor under the supervision of the Board of Trustees till when he is very spiritually matured would have been a good idea . I just hope that the senior pastors that worked with Pst Taiwo while he was alive would stay around to help him . I noticed a lot of them were not in church on Thursday. The issue of his marriage is not being talked about. We heard rumours of divorce and l think if that's true, the board of trustees should have taken steps to see if reconciliation is possible. It may not go well with some members of the church if he is pastoring as a divorcee. Your husband's views are perfect.l He is well l grounded. For Jimmy, as at the time of his dad's death, he wasn't pastoring any church as put out.
