His daughter Queen Mary was another mass murderer like her father. It runs in the family, it's in the genes. The monarchy in Britain needs to be dissolved. Having a monarchy is unwarranted in these moderntimes.
I highly doubt it was that many. Think about how many people died during that time without executions. If he executed 70,000.. he'd more than likely be the only one left in England. One other thing, he didn't control all executions. England is more than London.

Hmm, religious people bequeath some of their wealth to God to glorify him or atone for their sins.. and no man on earth has the right to take it away… from any religious institutions.

There is something strangly serene and fascinating about super green meadows with ruins that have still the basic shapes left where the windows and door would have been and the Sun shining during Golden Hour..
The Tudors were an old Welsh family and held estates on Anglesea long before Henry VIIIs father (Henry VII) claimed the throne of England. His father in turn was Edmund Tudor, 1st Earl of Richmond a descendant of Tudors of Penmynydd all descended from Tudur Hen who died in 1311. Reading between the lines they were pretty ruthless in those times, if you weren't you stood the risk of being killed yourself. Henry VIII was made of the same genes, it boded ill for anyone who stood in his path! When the Monasteries were dissolved Henry gave his Welsh allies valuable former Monastic estates and also to English allies who supported him. That might seem generous but Henry had previously sold off the (gold) plate, the glass and the lead from the roofs, and in some cases the stone. Some Priory churches were sold intact to the townspeople. Monks who went quietly were actually paid a pension and the last Prior of Christchurch became the Vicar. But Abbots who held out, like the Abbot of Glastonbury, could expect to be murdered. God alone help anyone who went against him, and there was nobody else but God to help, the others dare not. The way you might die in those times was agonising, and very, very, final. It served as a reminder to be very very careful.

I live a 5-minute walk from Hampton Court Palace, Henry Vlll's main residence (after he took it from Cardinal Wolsey). I still have a little shiver down my back when I pass the entrance to the Palace and think that Henry would have ridden out to hunt deer in the park surrounding the Palace most days. He was a tyrant, of course, but those were tough times to live in.

This is correct. Most monks (i.e., more than 50%) had thousands of people executed (each), including their wives as a way of moving onto the next wife. Most monks did this.
@@lucasgroves137 not sure this is true, considering the population in England in 1520 was about 4 million, hundreds of monks killing thousands every year is not mathematically possible. However, monks were parish judges and did use their power to murder, steal, rape and brutalise their parishioners.

The Romans (Italians) executed millions in their stadiums for entertainment of the locals. Not the Gladiators, but broken down slaves and criminals and prisoners-of-war were slaughtered in mass.
When I consider the accession of Henry Tudor to the throne, the subsequent slander of Richard III which serious historical research has legitimately put into question and then the tyrannical rule of Henry VIII, I can’t help but draw comparisons to Donald Trump.
None of these properties indicated wealth! They were just buildings, pieces of rocks. Some of the other items were gold which is just a useless metal a nonsensical human arbitrary evaluation. Real wealth is modern: vehicles, electricity, uranium, agricultural machinery, etc.!!!!!
