Best tenor singer that ever lived. Don Rich was as much a star as Buck.

This is when country music had a meaning and I grew up listening to this music with my parents. So I would like to thank my mom and dad for teaching me about good music

Can’t help but smile every time I see Don with that huge smile of his. It’s contagious. He always looks like he is really enjoying himself.

Mr. Don Rich, underrated to the bone. If there's a country band in heaven, Don's up their playing lead.

After seeing this, Buck was right when he commented that his musical career ended the day Don Rich died. One complemented the other in their sound.

211 comments and only one person mentions the steel player (but spells his name wrong)? That's Tom Brumley, people, and he was one of the greatest steel players who ever lived.

One of the tightest bands ever. In the middle of about 250 shows a year they'd come in and record a season of TV shows in a couple of days. Most songs were done in one take. Hard to find a better group than Don, Doyle, Tom and Willie.

Better world then, no?

I was 15 in 1966. Other teens were listening to the Beatles but I listening to Buck Owens then and still do along with other great country artist of that era...Country music is not country music anymore. I miss the "good ole days."
