Dr. Simeone is one of the most important and skillful collectors of our time in my opinion. How lucky we are as car enthusiasts to have such a dedicated, intelligent, skillful, educated and passionate collector like Dr. Simeone to put this extremely rare and amazing collection of cars together and let the public view and learn about them. Thank you.

I have been to the Simeone Museum twice and highly recommend it: an outstanding collection. The special events are really worthwhile.

Dr Simeone was not only a true car enthusiast with great taste, but also a pioneering neurosurgeon. R.I.P. Dr Fred.

"Drop Dead Gorgeous" Alfa is RIGHT! There were 3 or 4 Alfa's in there to die for. Absolute works of art, and they are RACE CARS!

I stayed at a fine hotel in downtown Philadelphia. When I asked the staff directions to the Simeone museum, nobody had a clue. I asked a dozen cab drivers and finally found one to take me there.

It's in a really weird place, but it's definitely worth the search!

I'm glad to see someone who observes the "Mark IV" (not really, but that's the title it carried later)... which was actually the most successful GT40 ever built... gathering more wins than any other iteration.

One thing special about this Bugatti Type 57G Tank is its classic styling, literally the "Stem Cell" of Bugatti which regenerates into the modern Bugatti Veyron, Chiron, Divo, Centodieci. Truly Amazing!

Bugatti certainly knew what they were doing with the streamlining, as the A4 locomotive 'Mallard' that holds the world record for a steam loco (126mph) took its front end design from this Bugatti.

This might be the most important, non profit car collection there is today. But Dennis: Nürburg and the Nürburgring with the most perfect race track of all and ever, the Nordschleife should not be confused with the city of Nürnberg, especially known for its world famous Lebkuchen and the post WWII Nazi trials. Maybe you should consider going to the world's greatest race track yourself, it'll truly be worth the trip.

but for endurance le mans was king in those years and every manufacturer had their eyes on it.

These types of cars really aren't my speed, (sorry for the pun) but Dennis has a talent for making things interesting and keeps my attention to the television. Guess that's why he has a tv show and I don't. lol Thank you Dennis and MCC team. Another job well done. Have a great day!

I love that he drives all these as well. It's idiotic to keep the beast chained in the name of preservation, and this is in my words true preservation.

You can see the influence of the Bugatti (scaled down) on the Austin Healey 100 some fourteen years later. The 2 litre Aston, though, still sounds wrong compared to Bertelli's previous 1.5. It just doesn't want to rev.

A fair amount of detail on the the 'art deco' Le Mans car, except that neither presenter remembered to say it's a Peugeot!

The Simeone museum is the best automotive museum in the world. You might find a collection you like better, but you will not find one where you can actually see and hear everything run! You can find a number of videos from the museum, with more cars running, on my channel here - ru-vid.com/group/PL6jMKUG01G9i45JDD5BzZeiRxbPh6jm1E

The man who owns this museum resembles the actor, Danny DeVito. He is the complete opposite of what one would think a race car driver and race car enthusiast would look like. Like the old saying says. "You can't tell a book by looking at the cover".
@SimeoneMuseum
@SimeoneMuseum 6 лет назад
It might be because he started his career as a neurosurgeon. Never heard the Danny DeVito resemblance before. I don't think many would say that meeting him in person. Here's some more information about his life. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-b_hRgtxquWw.html
