1st test sailing of the Isabella Classic The Bullet
Unfortunately a grey day with soft ice and nearly no wind for testing. Emphasizing anyway, the -Proa Sail concept according to Marchaj -works!
The whole idea is to pair an Isabella-Classic Iceboat with an easy to rig and easy to handle -Stone Age Pacific Proa Sail - which, according to Marchaj´s sail studies is F=1,7 better than a standard used windsurfing sail. What it is!
Rigging is done in 2-3 minutes in all minus temperatures and off she goes while all other pilots need quarters and more.
As far just benefits gained and remarkable sailing performance plus capability to combat with her small 4,6m2 sail against those with standard 6,5m2 . More next season....
