I understand your outrage at the insensitive of this journalist. I have to believe however, that his loving parents have prepared him for this eventuality. Im Just an older mother with two adult children; my younger one used to get comments from her school friends, and because I’d prepared her, her response was “I know, my mom already told me”. I say all this because I’m sure the Prince and Princess of Wales won’t leave anything up to chance either.

Everyone on earth knows you don’t go after children. I found this disgusting and I don’t even have children❗️

I don’t think this is a rule that is followed, at least not equally. They didn’t dare criticize Obama’s daughters but I don’t think it was because they were the presidents daughters. After all, they went after Chelsea Clinton mercilessly. She was rather an unfortunate looking teenager, as was I for a couple of years. @@SirWinstonFurchill It's a "rule" but not always followed. It was because of the horrible bullying of Chelsea's looks by Media that the rule came into place. Obama's daughters did get some of it as did Bush II's. The bullying did get much less though because of Chelsea. And Chelsea has come out several times telling media to leave Baron alone. In any case, it's more a gentlemen's agreement. Not enforceable.

I was the same with my children and always so pleased when people said "We don't mind your children coming over to my house to play. They are so well behaved". Only last week a great grandchild(8) phoned me and when she misheard something I said she shouted "What" down the phone. I said "Are you talking to me?" Immediately she said "Oh sorry Nan Pardon?" Mr Murdoch is a strong monachist, he's late mother was too, lovely elegant woman, Dame Elisabeth, I'm from their hometown of Melbourne...and used to work for the company for a number of decades..It was very much an old fashioned family business (Mr Murdoch snr was a former WW1 reporter, later editor) his sisters and mother were in weekly, Rupert and his sons, every six months. Prince George has a 'resting face' there are plenty of photos of Trooping the Colour that have the children laughing and delighted, others when they are distracted or concerned because of the wet, so you could pick and choose whichever photos fit your narrative, but the rest of us see ALL the photos.

One photo they criticized was the one where the National Anthem was playing. Pure ignorance. The Wales family were showing respect, there was plenty of smiles before and after that​@@KeiPalace

As the oldest child, they are very protective of mom. They are a bit more aware of what is happening around them, and do what they can to see that mom is well.
