Let's be real. Hospitals are the antithesis of an optimal birthing environment and women shouldn't have to advocate for themselves while giving birth! With my first birth my preferences and basic human rights were thrown out the window as soon as I entered the hospital. My second birth was a wild pregnancy and completely undisturbed free birth at home. No one coercing me or telling me what to do or how to birth or putting my body on a time limit. It was amazing to experience that contrast of birthing in power vs birthing disempowered. I'm really excited for this birthing revolution! Great episode, thank you!

And they say ' All the actions they do forcefully to pregnant woman's body, including sexual and vulgar abuse in some hospitals done by male doctor on private pubes and all of woman in front of him even, is NOT ABUSE, but MEDICAL KNOWLEDGE TO SAVE YOUR PITIFUL LIFE FROM PITIFUL PREGNANT STATE, without they dictating your body you and your baby will as a thumb rule die as 'In nature all women 100% die the moment labor symptoms start', in past all womwn died the moment labor starts hence MAN had to step in among womwen to 'DICTATE how NORMAL DELIVERY should be aetificially performed ion her still body, as BIRTH MEANS DEATH if not intervened, and ONLY DOCTORS KNOW WHAT TO DO TO YOUR BODY AMD HOW TO DELIVER YOUR BABY OUT OF YOUR HELPLESS , STILL STATUE LIKE FLAT BODY, and that you have no brain amd you will definitely die without doctor doing procedures on you, that is'What Biggest misconception' is spread worldwide by medieval era Male physicians (Who actually only studied male anatomy in old eras yet tried to interfere in childbirth without studying female body first), due to which, no woman talks about obstetric violence, cos they do not see it as violence but as 'Life saving treatment from disease called birth'

Wow. Just wow. This may be the best episode yet. This was such a validating and important conversation. I love seeing people validate and empower each other and this conversation was that. And this from a guy! When I see the passion and intellect that you all have -- the caring -- wow! It's just great.

So excited for this! Currently almost 6 months pregnant & recently watched the business of being born. It really helped validate my decision for a birthing center birth and really empowered me as a first time mom 🤍 I do wish it was more easily accessible for people to do out of hospital births though! We recently found out we’re going to have to pay in full up front and our insurance might give us a reimbursement.

Birth in the USA is BARBARIC. Majority of women are traumatized. Pelvic floors are mutilated leading to lifelong dysfunction (urinary, bowel and sexual) without major repair surgery. C-section rate is 7-15x greater risk to mother and infant and 95% are unnecessary (similar to hysterectomy …how coincidental both only women!). Birth is a physiological function that works 97.% without any assistance, yet, obs manage with unnecessary harmful interventions and traumatize women during birth. Licensed midwife at home is only way to change this around. Not med-wives (nurse midwives) in hospitals and birth centers. We rank lower than undeveloped countries. Why? Because birth works and it’s not a medical event. The infant and mother mortality and morbidity in the USA is almost ALL due totally unnecessary interventions and management. As a doula, I’ve seen so many situations at home that would have been a traumatic birth and at home it was safe, health and for

Yes the medical business is just that a business, so good they carried on independently with this documentary/film..I would not be tested if giving birth!

I was on board until we started calling women "birthing people" and brought race into this for no reason
