You should revisit this. I'm a craft beer sales rep in Vermont. Vermont has one of the toughest beer markets in the states due to new breweries and sheer amount of great beer. I find it hard dealing with the bullying and illegal practices of Baker Distribution and Farrell Distribution. They bribe accounts with free tickets to games and free coolers only for their products. Give them illegal discounts and more. I been getting into a lot of altercations with these reps and they tend to yell cause they have an old school mindset. But that's all they can do. We have product that sells faster but they have money and man power to hold their skus in stores. This is even worse for big grocery accounts. It's a constant battle and as large batch beer consumers get older, the craft market is on the up and up, these guys know it. Would be a cool video.

I've been in the beer distributing business for over 10 years, selling beer is only 30% of the job, there's way more to it than what people think

Would you say 100k is do able after grinding for a few years? What else does the job entail?

@@lucas8732100 is possible as a rep I know of plenty beer/wine reps who make 100 but it depends.. it will take a couple years to get there, and you have to work with the right distributor because commission rate matters and a good chunk of your income will come from various incentives that the company offers

This trip...unfortunately it is all work and all Lakewood (western suburb of Denver). BUT...they have Modus in the hotel bar so I did hold up my end of the Ska bargain :-)
