@@NightOwlOfMiami Well the slimmer guy was the one reading his journal before to the entire prison out loud. And the big guy just seems like the typical dumb stereotype so he wouldn’t be interested in journals of some guy
Evan uses a journal he kept as a kid to travel back in time - to that exact point of time in his journal ....each time he goes back ,the younger Evan does something different that will directly effect his life in the future , thats why we see the older Evan in jail in this scene ...I highly recommend this film
Yes that is correct, but whenever he changes something, he or one of his friends doesn’t benefit. He means well, but someone close to him in the future suffers.

Wow, Ashton Kutcher actually said "niggers". This was actually a really good movie, haven't watched it in a really long time, but man, the language and the content was so raw but real, they just don't make movies like that anymore.
In that timeline, yes, the inmate did die. But that timeline was erased. No, the shard was a completely different shard. Remember, he can only transfer his consciousness, nothing else besides that one scene with the scars that made no sense.
Fun Fact: John R. Leonetti, the guy who directed the abomination "Mortal Kombat Annihilation," also directed "The Butterfly Effect 2." That explains why it was so terrible compared to the others.
