Fun watching this on multiple levels. The ZO6 experience was great, especially from a normal dude C8 owner’s perspective. And the Hampton Roads POV, home for me too. Finally, the military background…again, me too. Best folks in the world. Thanks for sharing the experience.
I own a C8 Z51 and am waiting for a Z06. I was so disappointed with how quiet and smooth the Stingray is. I did not know the Stingray was a luxury grand tourer with a "supercar look". I guess the older people love it.
There are 3 options that can be ordered or purchased through Chevy Parts that I think every C8 owner should have and all 3 together are about $600. Not a lot of money for what they provide IMO! (1) All Weather Floor Mats and Jake Liner Protection Package (2) Battery Protection Package (OEM Trickle Charger) (3) Tow Hook (1) The Driver & Passenger area are protected from “Bad Weather”, what’s on the bottom of your shoes and spills. In 2 years I have not had any Fast Food Meals in my C8. The Frunk & Trunk are protected from messy items being placed in those areas. Golf Bags and Golf Shoes, Grocery Items, you name it. Clean Up is much easier in your C8. (2) The C8 has a lot of Electrical Components and use a lot of juice. If not a “Daily Driver”, I suggest using the Trickle Charger. (3) Hopefully, the Tow Hook is never needed, but if that day ever comes, it gives Joe Tow Truck Driver a place to “Hook Up To” and not onto a place the hook under the C8 that will probably end up damaging a body panel or suspension part. (Also, the Transmission can be damaged if the C8 is moved by towing or pushing/pulling the vehicle. Necessary precautions need to be used to prevent Transmission Damage when possible. Use of Dollies or placing the C8 in Neutral “See Owners Manual” must be done!!! Consider even 2 Tow Hooks, one for each end.
The General is one of the smartest Vette guys I’ve seen on RU-vid and his matter of fact view on things is so simple yet so elegant. I’d like to have a beer or three with him. Especially if his wife would come along. Great, great video.
Nice video... i have a HTC C8 70th STINGRAY Z51 and I can't get over how sweet the ride is... when you change the mode to Z... THE CAR TURNS INTO A BEAST. I live out here in NEW JERSEY and alot of traffic.. i don't mind it. it's my weekend car im blessed to be Able to enjoy this machine... Nice video
Man, nice job guys current 2023 C8 Stingray Z51 owner and burbles I get all the time but the heat of the engine has to be above 180 degrees, just a tip. Also, when you get the green gear dash light pop up thew car is ready to take on almost anyone.. Best car I have driven and owned in my entire 55 years of life. The only thing I caution against is folks that are introverted or not very social don't buy this car because everywhere you go, draws a crowd, I am NOT joking about that. Great vid guys I am thinking seriously about the Z06 as well.. Hmmm...
This is the kind of video I want. Provides me with the perspective and assistance in making a decision as to if I want to buy a ZO6! Hey General thanks!!! Sorry I missed meeting you in Carlisle Greg.
GM made a "Lamborghini"... In Europe the problem Is about the price, the Z06 Will cost like a Lamborghini then we continue to buy a Lamborghini or Ferrari!
I'm new here, looking to get my C8 this year..............FINALLY after saving up 100k to buy it outright. (i hate interest payments for anything) lol Love the car but I LOVE your garage just as much. Damn it's nice! Enjoy the ride!
At first all the rage was the new C8, now all everyone talks about is a ZO6, which is totally unnecessary as a cruiser. If you like overpaying for things like brake jobs, get a ZO6 by all means.
Not knocking anything I serve a veteran’s special needs grandchild and really like your channel it’s funny Just got my 70th Anniversary Pearl White z51 car and verbalized this feels and looks like a McLaren so excited! Never owned a rear mid engine exotic like car before funny how when we don’t experience what we could be missing out on we are really not missing out there just aren’t many proper comparisons and we think what we have is the best. Gonna keep it that way so not to be disappointed and the temptation to enter that price range will not happen. I truly think it’s over priced!
That is the million dollar question. The Z06 is unbelievably nice and pretty much a track weapon that CAN be driven on the street. I need to drive an E-Ray to know for sure.
You do realize that’s because they are too quick to shift manually compared to a dual clutch automatic. I guess F1 cars aren’t fast since they paddle shift too…
@@joshuabreenThe fact that you only talk about how fast it is just shows how much you don't understand why the manual is still the only transmission choice for the enthusiast
