@@noszelias This works, but not fully. Dead ringer has two resistances: hit that triggers it deals -75% damage, and while the spy is cloaked he has damage resistance of 65% for three seconds (which then swaps for normal 20% resist of invis). So caber's explosion deals 35% damage instead of 25%, which is still a lot but actually might not be enough to oneshot full-health spy even after crit swing (41 melee damage, 79 explosive). if you want a guaranteed-ish kill, could add in shield bash for extra bit of damage. Could also test it to see how much actual damage it deals to dedringer friend

@@admiralAlfonso9001 yeah total 120 damage means that if spy was wounded even slightly before (shotgun pellet or two, or any fall damage) or is using big earner or insufficiently-overhealed-kunai, he will still die. It's just there's no guarantee for when the spy is fully healthy.

It doesn't one shot anymore because Snipers in Ranked kept getting dunked on by Caberknights and threw tantrums at Valve until they nerfed the shit out of it

Iirc you can't do that anymore since the caber "rework" of many years ago (the one that made killing light classes so much harder), but I might be wrong so I'll test it out tonight. I do use this tactic in full crit servers tho, it's always funny to see people's reaction in chat whenever I kill them by slapping the pavemenr

@@noszelias ah yes my friend if you hit the ground you can still kill as if it were a normal critical hit I don't know if it is intentional or accidental but it counts as a critical hit.

ehh I'm still at a very entry level with the shields, SolarLight's video guide helped me understand them a little bit better tho, and I strive to become half as good as he is at trimping

It never recharged, which sucks. I personally wish they added a metal recharge mechanic instead of just a timed one, but qt this point I'd be happy even with just the explosion hitbox fix
