Roach was the real ghost of the series He left behind no trace, like a ghost And everyone forgot about him, well, nearly everyone

We need to bring justice for our boy Roach. He is literally my favorite mute cod character. If he became a playable operator, I would instantly play as his in a heartbeat!!!!

I would love to see roach ,grinch,frost and sandman in the new series.

Another great question: What the hell happened to the rest of TF141? Like Task Forces are comprised of many people, not just 4 guys.

Would like to see 141 get expanded on and dudes like Ozone ,Scarecrow, Frost, etc get fleshed out characters. It was cool hearing those dudes come over comms in the OG campaign and kinda getting a “oh hey same guys, they’re out there with us as well”

For people who say Roach was simply a camera, he shows personality when he and Ghost is shot by Shepard, by grabbing Shepards arm in the remaster.

After the first 30 seconds, I knew it was going to be Roach. He’s surely going to feature in MWIII’s campaign (I hope)

Nobody forgot about Roach. He has a very big place in every MW2 player’s hearts. We saw the betrayal of Shepard through his very last moments and I couldn’t help but feel horrible for Ghost and Roach

I knew from the first few seconds it was roach. I still remember how insane the death scene was. Biggest shocking moment in gaming at the time.

I've always liked Roach more than Ghost. Sure he never talked or interacted with anyone but his actions within the campaign substituted his lack of dialogue. Extracting the ACS module via smowmobile chase, taking on a Favela single handedly, escaping said Favela with the entire village trying to kill him. Even extra bits of lore like in Soap's journal how he mentions Roach and that he see's a lot of his younger self in Roach. He never spoke a word, but you felt like an invincible badass as Roach and that's why I like him so much. Here's hoping he returns for MWIII

I wish Call of Duty would include more American tier 1 operators/forces like Delta Force and DEVGRU (ST6). Delta was a major faction in MW3, perhaps they’ll be brought back in the next installment; but still, as much as I admire SAS and the idea of a multinational TF-141, the Modern Warfare series needs more American tier 1 operator representation in campaign and multiplayer.

Im glad to see Roach being mentioned here.. Dude deserves more credit and recognition from the community as being a apart of the COD cast, despite being a silent protagonist.. Soap was the same way in COD 4, why cant we do Roach justice??

Don’t forget about Sandman!!! Not really that influential but good character development in MW3 and has a sad death.

I like how Roach is basically his nickname since the man like irl cokroaches just refuse to die and crawl back up despite people throwing everything at him. It takes a full 44 Magnum to the chest, stray bullets from the earlier gunfight and being doused in gasoline to actually kill him

It makes me so happy to see that others haven't forgotten about Roach, he's one of my favorite characters!! Also, in "Soap's Journal" that comes with one of the bonus editions of MW3, Soap goes a bit more in depth about Roach which is really cool. Here is one of the parts that speak about him : "Have been looking forward to breaking Roach in. Beyond the mission similarities, He reminds me after myself after selection. Feel even more comfortable with him than Price must have with me. Handled the C4 detonation perfectly, even as I looked at dozen muzzles. Not half-bad on a snowmobile either. A future in snowcross racing? Afterwards, saw the Sgt. writing in a journal. Wonder if he's thinking about PT like I was. If he's wondering what Villa Clara's taste like."

MW09 handled Roach in a similar way as BOCW treated Bell as the player avatar, but I guess the main difference was how Bell was framed - you got to choose who they were with exception of the codename, allowing a bit more of a connection. Perhaps in MW09 the devs assumed people would be content with a name and no discernable persona for Roach, the playable camera. That being said, the fandom has taken the small amount of info they have and run with it, assuming Roach is mute and communicates with sign language.

Still want to know what happened to the rest of the MW2019 operators. Did they all die in Verdansk or what? If they can bring back Ronin and Roze, they can definitely bring back others, especially Lerch.

How can I forget Roach? Ever since Shepherd returned in MW II, the betrayal from the previous game kept popping in my memory.

If u actually dive deep into it Roach is a part or was a part of Task Force 141 but its weird they didn't even mention him in the end credit scene of mw 2019.

Between Roach, Ramirez, and Frost. There is an easter egg for Ramirez in the new MW2 but that's hardly featuring him. I wouldn't be surprised if Frost or Sandman don't return since they were only briefly featured by comparison and I don't know how accurate of a depiction they were of Delta. There is also Griggs and the Demon Dogs who haven't been mentioned since MW 2019 but it's possible that Activision considers them killed off through Warzone's storyline.

I have always complained that Simon could have shot Sheppard instead of yelling roach then raising his gun, the funny thing is Sheppard feared roach more then ghost if you watch his face at the helicopter he was immediately targeting roach

We have not seen captain Macmillan return in new modern warfare reboot series he was mention at end of MW2019 campaign

Gary Roach sanderson is such an underrated character. We need him back im so happy he is finally getting some recognition/praise he desrves it. I would really love to see Roach,Frost(and his team),and Yuri in the MWIII with a powerful enterind scene, just imagine while the character you are playing is being pinned down by enemies, someone safe you and your team from the whole squad of enemies and killing them( the enemies)

He's basically CoD's version of Noble 6 from Halo Reach. He pretty much only exists as a way for the player to coexist with the main cast. Same can be said with Ramirez.

In the game Roach back story was never shown or tell but in the CODM Roach backstory was told a little in the BIO it says that Roach is a member of british special forces i don't know is the BIO is canon or not but yeah Roach is a british

Lets not forget the theory that this is a whole different timeline from the original trilogy due to the cod zombies story which is why we also are seeing gaz is now black and also shepherd crossing them before roach showed up it would be nice to have roach finally make an appearance because i honestly loked roach man was indestructible even at the end of the orginal mw2 they had to burn him alive to kill him

Weirdly the SPECGRU Ranger 3 operator skin has same jacket as Roach (from Loose Ends [when Ghost die] )

Theory could be that Gary aka Roach is Gaz because the nickname Gaz is from the name Gary origin of the nickname Gaz is from Germany

I can't believe Infinity Ward skipped on Roach who we play as for 7 missions (6 missions technically) in MW2. It's like they only added Soap and Ghost just so the game could sell. Taskforce141 can't be complete without him. For me, the fact that Roach never spoke nor we aw his face made me attached to him more than the others for years now.

Roach was such a great character. I really miss him so much. I seriously was pissed off when they killed off both Roach and Ghost. I cried way to hard on that. I wish he would've been seen more and had some lines. I would've loved to hear what he possibly could've sounded like. Also calling Gaz a minot character kind of hurt. He was quite a character in the OG modern warfare. I also want that Captian MacTavish to come back for Modern Warfare. Also Yuri coming back would be really interesting to see. I did like Yuri and was kinda sad when they killed him

Can I digress on this video as it turns out that roach is a British SAS sergeant who actually appeared as a playable character in Cod mobile, so he wasn’t forgotten his time hasn’t came up yet since mw19 and mw2 2022 was set before the events of makarov, the reboots are leading up to those events which a lot of y’all don’t even see happening so is roach coming back it’s a possibility because MW3 will be most likey based around makarov since mw2 was left on the makarov cliffhanger

I dont understand why people like ghost more than roach. First of all we see roach a lot more than ghost. Second, you play as him if you are not playing american characters, lastly ghost died instantly when shot by shepherd. I didnt even feel a damn thing when ghost died. He is just a minor character without any memorable moments. We see roach get blown up, shot, and burned as WE play him. Ghost doesn’t deserve the fame one bit, roach does.

Roach joined only at a later date in the current Modern Warfare timeline, and specifically in Operation Kingfish (the "Finding Makarov" Mission). That's when Soap introduced him saying "He's a Sergeant, but reminds me of what I must've looked like coming out of Selection; raw, skilled, loyal to a fault". If they stick to the timeline Roach should come back to Modern Warfare right after bringing Makarov Back. Knowing that the "Operation Kingfish" in the next COD whether be it MW2 DLC or MWIII, will be the last part in this timeline since everything after that is in the original MWII.

With next gen COD pushing for named characters with actors, maybe Roach will return as a advertised actor like the rest of T141 or they will finally go back to silent protagonist who allows the player to immerse themselves as part of the team. If they switch up No Russian, maybe the CIA op who Makarov ""kills"" will become Roach and then we play as him again.
